The main reason I believe I deserve a scholarship, is because I have worked on improving myself year after year. This place is more than just a summer camp to me, it totally changed me for the better. This camp helped me be more social, responsible, and it taught me to work and strive for greatness. I do not think any other place could have had an impact on me like this place…
I am writing in regard to the Ford Built Tough FFA scholarship. FFA (Future Farmers of America) has become a big part of my life. I will be talking about my plans for my major, my first year as an FFA member, who inspired me to continue on this path, and what sets me apart from other students applying for this scholarship. The Scholarship would go toward my studies at Emporia State University. The Ford Built Tough scholarship will help in paying for my studies in Agriculture Education to become a teacher for agriculture experience.…
While growing up, I always pictured the world in a positive mindset; I never thought that anyone or anything could cause harm to us or our societies. I slowly learned that although the world is a very optimistic place, not everyone or everything is for the greater good. Our world, our country, and our homes encounter change on a daily basis that we have to adapt to. In the past few years, my family and I have went through a lot of these so called “changes” - some being for the better and some being for the worse. Whether it be due to the economy, illness, or even just pure luck; my family made it through these everlasting changes with loving support and happiness. Receiving the Coolidge Scholarship would make a difference in my life by relieving…
As a humble alumna of Savannah State University, I believe I have much to achieve in life. As the youngest of four siblings who all value education and prosperity, I was taught to excel in everything I do. I am a native of Savannah, Georgia and I have lived here all of my life. Due to great effort and my love for learning, I received a four year academic scholarship to Savannah State University (which I am so grateful for).…
Scholarship has been impressed upon me since a very young age. My family and teachers has stressed the importance of learning and making the most of my education. Throughout my years in school, I have strived to achieve high marks in all of my classes and though at times it has been difficult, in the end hard work has always payed off. I will continue to work just as hard, if not more, as I go onto college. Even after college, I will continue my search for knowledge, because there is always more to learn.…
I demonstrate scholarship by striving myself to work harder and to excel in school with big goals and achievements in order to be successful. I always push myself to go for bigger and better things; no matter what obstacles I might face, even if that means trying new things that I’m afraid of. I am a very responsible person when it comes to my work ethic, and always getting things done either on time or in advance and I am determined to achieve the goals that I have set for myself.…
I believe that my education is the key to anything I desire. I understand that today, education is a main factor in succeeding in the future. Many people in the United States and other countries that provide children with public education take it for granted, but I realize how truly blessed we are, and how valuable our education truly is. Scholarship is more than just passing quizzes and tests, it is applying that knowledge to our everyday lives and knowing where to apply it. It is also being determined to succeed, and if anything becomes an issue you get through it as well.…
The past year has been very difficult in my family because my father got cut off of his good paying job which covered most bills, but recently I was able to work more often. I put less stress off my parents shoulders by helping them with things they needed around the house. We were able to get back on their feet at least but this Bloch scholarship would be a Financial saver towards my parents because I don't want my educational goals make them struggle. I want to be able to help my parents and already give back to them. To do that first I will have to go to college to be able to get a good paying job. Also secondly it will allow me to get situated with being out of high school and moving on into college. I know it will help me get comfortable since I can move on into a bigger college with more students in a classroom by time.…
I don’t know if I feel that saying that I deserve this scholarship is the right thing to say, but going to Japan has been a goal of mine ever since I can remember. My grandfather was the one who really got me interested in Japan. He would always tell me stories about the culture, people, the little bits of language that he picked up, and the time that he spent there. My grandfather would have loved me going to Japan and would have supported me whole heartedly. I want to go to Japan not only to see what he saw, but also to improve the little that I know and improve myself.…
I believe I should be awarded this scholarship because I work hard in everything that is thrown my way. I try to be the best I can be so I can make my way to college possible. To keep myself going in the right direction, I set goals for myself. I have the drive to try my best for any goal I set. I should be awarded this scholarship not only for money, but for a motivation to never give up.…
My educational goals can be said to be broken down into three parts that are really the means to my ends which is the fourth and most important goal. First, Im working on getting good grades in every class, I want to work on having and maintaining a high competitive GPA. My second goal is to get my Bachelors in Political Science in an ideal time frame of two more years. My third goal and one that is out of my hands, one may say, is getting a scholarship. I know there is a large amount of competitive students in the school, who are well deserving of scholarships but I need this scholarship to alleviate my parents from their stress and hard work to keep up with my payments. The last and really my main goal, where my eyes are set and where I,…
In order to so, I must persevere to be one of the best in my future class and job. A long term goal for me is to create a non-profit organization that helps those who need it the most. It could support higher education, help prevent domestic violence, animal abuse, or even help fund research for cancer. The possibilities are endless if I thrive in my education and apply what I've learned to the real world. After all, the importance of earning a college education is also to help others achieve their dreams and overcome their obstacles. If I am elected to receive this scholarship you would be giving me an opportunity to learn at one of the business schools in Texas. I can assure you that I would find a way to give back to my community like the way you help students like…
College is my opportunity to make something of myself and actually get by and be happy with the knowledge I learn. I will be the first one in my family that will be attending college. I am the first born child of the generation of my family, so this would be a major step of change to my family’s generations. Attending college would be my way to express what I want to do and where I want to be in my life. I don’t want to get too caught up in the college life than become a drop out and make nothing of myself; I believe that I have a purpose. The determination I have now and towards my future tells me that I KNOW I can go future with the help of…
The impact of being awarded this scholarship would forever change my life. It would be a significant boost of confidence from others and for myself. I would also be afforded the opportunity and privilege to finally begin my chosen career. There are no limits to the possibilities of this scholarship and the ways it will affect my…
Starting at eight years old, I always envisioned attending college and obtaining a degree that would allow me to accomplish what I want in life. Over time, I have faced many obstacles such as dyslexia, emotional trauma, and family challenges. All through these challenges, I never let anything deter me from my course of attending college. Despite being able to overcome obstacles, I have come to realize there are things in life that I have little to no control over. Now that I have had time to experience the joys, hard work, and endless opportunities that come with being a college student, I have come too far to let anything stop me from finishing this chapter of my life. In combination with my scholarships and work-study, as a college student with little money I rely partly on my parents to finance my education. Although my parents will continue to do all they can to help finance my education, their income stability is not guaranteed, my family…
