Re: Summer Internship
As a current third year Mathematical, Statistical and Actuarial student at Heriot-Watt University, it is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to apply for a summer internship with RBS. Your organisation appeals to me because of the attractive values which exude from its website, and I have much enjoyed reading up on RBS’s employee profiles which gave me an insight into how the business runs and benefits each and every one of them. RBS is a fast paced, top-tier bank with an unrivaled reputation. I believe that I have the character, skills, and experience which your business actively seeks in its recruitment for summer students, and endeavour to convey this in the CV herein. I delight in the fact that one of RBS’s key benefits is that they offer supported study to gain financial qualifications, encouragement to develop through movement between departments and a structured career path.
I thrive in a team environment, and have gained much experience of this through my part time job, and various group projects at university. In my view, this ethos of commitment and mutual respect for colleagues is what makes a good working relationship, and is ultimately the key to succeeding in a common goal. I have a real motivation to pursue a career in finance, and believe that this firm could give an ambitious Math student like me the opportunity to develop in areas which I have a real flair for.
I am excited about the possibility of speaking with you further about this outstanding opportunity with RBS. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours
