Describe Your Proudest Accomplishments
What is your proudest accomplishment? (Word limit: 150)
My brother was very ill as a child and spent a great deal of time at the hospital with other sick children. After seeing the immediate need for blood donations, I decided to coordinate a blood drive in my community during a critical need period. I organized, recruited for, and oversaw two separate blood drives in my first year alone. And at each blood drive, I far exceeded the expectations set by my Red Cross liaison. I recruited 32 new blood donors, and I gave blood myself. Over 70 donations were collected, potentially saving 210 lives. I continue to host blood drives because I understand the necessity for blood products. I cannot think of a more important accomplishment than helping to save lives.

The team performs at halftime during varsity basketball games using sounds created from clapping and stopping. As Senior Captain, it became my responsibility to provide artistic direction when designing routines. While music is not traditionally incorporated into step routines, I felt it would add variety. I compiled the perfect song selection and edited it to coordinate with a new routine. After a few initial demonstrations, the team began to practice with music; to my surprise, it was like a foreign language to several members. I began working with the team in selecting new music and choreographing a new routine. In the end, the team comprehended the new song selection more fluidly and performed seamlessly. More importantly, there was a heightened sense of enthusiasm within the team, which unleashed previously unseen creativity and innovation beyond my initial

In the past I have seen many people do great things, like fireman or police officers, who risk their lives everyday to save others. An accomplishment means to me something that you think highly of about yourself, or something that you are proud of. One of my accomplishments was when I went to the foodbank to help sort food and be able to supply food for people who need it. I think of this as an accomplishment because it made me feel proud, and happy to help the people who cannot help themselves. When I went to the food bank, I was not risking my life as fireman and police officers do so often, but the little things add up in life.…

Another thing I am proud of is my mother and me being reunited. When I was younger, my mother and I had gotten separated because of my mother not being able to take care of me so I went into Foster Care. Now, after ten years, my cousins had found me on Facebook and then told my aunt. My aunt added me as well and told my mother. Since my phone number was on my page, she called it and we began talking about the things we’ve missed over the years. Now, I’m able to see her whenever she gets the chance to come over and we talk about the future we’ll have together as a family again. This achievement I’ve made is the one I’m definitely most proud of.…

If I had to describe a proud moment of mine it would have to be about the summer that just recently passed. In the summer I work as a lifeguard, a serious job that isn’t always taken as serious as it should be, but when faced with danger most of the employees know what to do. Anyways, in the summer I worked as a lifeguard in the afternoons and evenings and in the morning, I would teach younger children how to swim. I was their instructor and they were my students. We had a lot of fun, and I absolutely loved teaching little kids how to do something that I love to do myself. It was hot summer day and a lot of the camp children from the local boys and girls club had just arrived. So all of the lifeguards on duty assumed their positions…

My most meaningful accomplishment has been in the recent year. Winning the election for Florida A&M Universities Student Government Association Vice President, for it to be stripped away from us from out past University President. My accomplishment was of course acquiring our position after a 6-month period, but the greatest accomplishment I’ve witnessed was resilience within myself. Through this imperial experience, I’ve realized the importance of fighting for whats right. For this reason, I’ve realized that it’s necessary to do whats morally correct -- this was how I measured my success. Not by the position, but how I went about handling the turmoil of not getting everything you want when you want it. This situation served as an example,…

My personal accomplishment has taught me a lot about myself and who I am as a person. It taught me how much strength I actually have within myself that I never in a million years thought I had. It was a hundred times more difficult that I thought it was going to be going into it. This challenge that I feel that has been an important demonstration of a personal accomplishment is when I attended a student trooper program a couple of years ago.…

I got off to a late start considering most of the dancers had been doing it since they were three years old, and I also had many struggles with my family on pursuing my ballet dream. Despite all this hardship, I managed to come out on top. I was offered a spot on my dream ballet company American Ballet Theatre (ABT), got to be bettered by their expertise on my ballet journey , and was given many amazing opportunities for them. 3. There are many things I would want to say about myself and my accomplishments on the day I graduate high school. A few are what, hopefully will take place in my high school years. I would like to be able to say that I have grown throughout these four years of high school, in more ways than one. I have grown in academics, but also as a person. Standing there, on the day of graduation, I would want to say that I look toward the future of my life, to college, to my life after this moment. I would like to look back to the past and see how far I’ve come, all that I have accomplished since then. The fact that I have succeeded in graduating high school, should be an accomplishment to note upon. I have completed the basics of my education, and…
