1. Introduction
In the modern world, when people are busy with heavy workload, fast food is likely to be their priority whereas some traditional foods lose their popularity. Nevertheless, there are many cuisines that stand out and even be wide-known in all over the world. One of them is Dim Sum - the art of Chinese traditional food. Dim Sum, literally means “to touch your heart”, is small appetizers that consist of a variety of steamed and fried dumplings as well as other goodies served in steamer baskets to keep it warm (Parkinson, 2015). Initially, it was designed to be a kind of snack served together with yum cha - a Chinese drinking tea style. Gradually, this unique cuisine and yum cha became the crucial part of Chinese culture (Yauatcha, n.d.). To the people in southeastern China, especially those of Canton and Hong Kong, Dim Sum is not just simply a kind of food, but far more than that - an irreplaceable custom. Nowadays, Dim

Later on, since it was indicated that tea can help people to digest better, teahouses began to serve a variety of light meals and Dim Sum’s tradition was formed (Parkinson, 2015). Still, it took several centuries for this kind of food to develop to become the art of Dim Sum as today (Parkinson, 2015).
In modern world, Dim Sum gains its popularity throughout China and many other countries around the world. Hong Kong, described as “Dim Sum nirvana”, may be the place that has most Dim Sum restaurants in the world with about 10,000 places to enjoy this food. Some places in China even sell Dim Sum for students and officers as takeaway. Furthermore, it is also favorite dish of many North American and Europeans as there are a lot of Dim Sum restaurants there such as Yank Sing in San Francisco and Sun Sui Wah in Vancouver (Apple, 2003).
