Elle Woods: Song Analysis
Although this part is repetitive, it shows the audience how Elle is just getting started in showing everyone what she's capable of at Harvard Law. I can't even count how many times I have sung this song just to feel the uplifting message of persevering and succeeding. Going into intermission, I would aim to have whoever is playing Elle to deliver this song with as much energy and vocal strength as possible to portray this. I have watched many videos and Broadway versions of this song and have felt the difference between an energetic portrayal and non-energetic portrayal. Vocal flexibility and stage presence is crucial in making this song triumphant, especially while holding the closing note. While casting the Legally Blonde star Elle Woods, I would look for a young woman who has blonde hair or is willing to wear a wig. This woman would have to be of college age, attractive, and able to pull off the more serious, lawyerly side of Elle. I'm personally a fan of Laura Bell Bundy's portrayal of the character, so the closer I can find an actress to her qualities, the better. I especially like Bundy's soprano voice, which contains a warm, feminine tone. The actress who plays Elle would also have to be willing to work with a dog. For Emmett …show more content…
Paulette's Bostonian accent is a must, whether natural or artificial, and so is her powerful personality. The actress that plays her has to have charm and be able to portray Paulette's need for true love after having gone through many failed relationships. Other than these traits, I would cast this character pretty broadly. The only physical traits that matter to me for Paulette is kempt hair, since she is a hairdresser. In the videos of the musical I have seen, Paulette has a unique sense of style, so I would want to find someone who could also portray this quirky side of

He plays Theodore’s uncomfortable and desperate loneliness well despite his usual dashing good looks and often unmistakable bravado in his other films. He’s quiet and unsure at all the right times, and frustratingly selfish and careless in others – through the film, it’s easy to find yourself rooting for and gushing over him one moment and feeling incredibly baffled and annoyed by his moody behavior in others. Still, while Pheonix’s portrayal of Theodore is masterful in it’s careful vulnerability, Johansson’s Samantha is the true triumph. Her voice is tender, but sensual; sweet, but sexy; and she plays the role of the compassionate and curious yet wildly intelligent and at times brash OS perfectly. It’s impossible to imagine another actress playing Samantha even though the character is disembodied.…

And we all have to admit that the first time we laid our eyes on her at the reality TV show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, we know that there's something in here that's worth watching. Aside from the unmistakable resemblance with her pop star singer sister Jessica Simpson, the talent is quite evident and it's just brewing under the angelic-face, feminine facade. Though her career is somewhat on the low-blow as compared to what her sister has achieved over the years, there's no way we would be able to forget how playful and fun Ashlee Simpson's approach to music was. Now aged 30, Ashlee Simpson is not as prolific and visible to the music scene nowadays, but the songs she had left in her wake would definitely be indelible to our 2000s recollection of top hits and influential tracks. We can always reminisce Ashlee as that singer who went over-the-top with her chosen genres of pop, pop punk, pop rock and power pop and have been linked and married to some other music icons such as Pete Wentz and Evan Ross.…
