When two people in love decide to be together, initially it feels like the best thing in the world. Your entire world becomes about that one person they consume your thoughts and you feel like you would do anything in your power to make that person happy. But as time goes on and you two find out more about each others personality's many things you don't know about this person begin to come out. They push you to limits no one else can and relationships can really test your emotional strength. For a relationship to work a couple needs to have strong communication and be able to compromise through the hardest times. Those two things are crucial to figuring out if the relationship will have longevity or if it will be short lived.
When a relationship begins it's probably the best time. The two people are absolutely infatuated with each other. Your significant other can do very little wrong when the relationship first begins. You feel like this person is the perfect person for you. This is called “The Honeymoon Phase”. In this part of the relationship it's easy for you to make irrational decisions in regard to your spouse because all you want to do is make them happy. Be sure to not lose yourself respect and go against your beliefs to make your spouse happy. Despite how much in love you may be with this person, that feeling doesn't last forever. But those decisions you make don't go away and can have negative effects on your life.
Eventually the relationship you believed was absolutely perfect will be put to the test. The rough patches you two go through can determine whether or not you two stay together or part ways. Even though some couples go through worse things than others it is important to not let the negative emotions you feel effect the way you love your spouse.
