It’s explained in the first chapter why people procrastinate: vagueness, confusion, and fuzzy-mindedness about what they are trying to accomplish and in what order they should go about tackling it. People need to make list of what they need to accomplish for the day. It could be each night planning for the next day or early in the morning planning for the day ahead of you. Either option is a start. By writing down your list of things to do, you’re able to see your…

The art of procrastination has troubled high school kids for quite some time now. Im sitting here typing my own essay at the eleventh hour, hoping that as the deadline approaches I can piece together an essay to save my grade. “Procrastination is for the efficient at heart”, this quote captures the procrastinators only strength: the ability to make the most out of the time they have. Most students will crack as the pressure of meeting the deadline with quality work overbears them, as they regretfully wish they spent their time wiser. Few will rise up to the challenge and meet the standards, but what separates the students who succeed and those who miserably fail?…

I’ve overcome procrastination because instead of staying on the couch and not doing the dishes I stand and actually do them, and to be honest it felt good because I don’t have to do it later like the author said in the article because it's worse in our future because the dishes might pile up even more or you can get in trouble for not getting up and doing it right away overall I think I have overcome procrastination so far. What helped be successful on facing procrastination is actually wanting on doing it and there's not wanting to get in trouble. Procrastination is what drives people from their work, study, and even determination. Focus is what is needed in everyday lives, and though it is tempting to "delay" what is needed to be done, no excuse is worth it so instead of just “delaying it” just do…

Procrastination has become such a bad habit for me. It is hard for me to stop procrastinating. I believe I do my best writing at the last minute. I usually wait until the night before to do most of it. I am usually up late the night before the paper is due. Having things due dates has kept me on task, and keeps me from procrastinating until the day before the paper is due. There was one paper which we had to get sources for a while before the paper was due and it forced me to keep up with the paper, rather than let it go to the last minute. This class has taught me that the earlier you start the more positive your result will be. That was my mistake with the argumentative paper.…

“There's nothing wrong with procrastination. Or is there? I'll leave it to you to decide, but only if you have the time.”- Craig Brown. Procrastinating plays a role in someone’s life. It is something that we all as humans try to overcome, but in reality, it is something that will impact us in some way, at any cost. Procrastination is a habit of putting off a task until a later time what could or should have been done at that time. It’s a tormenting weakness I’m struggling with and it’s keeping me back from being successful. It’s like an virus eating up my body infecting various parts of my life.…

When given the assignment of choosing a behavior of mine that I thought I needed to change, I had to really think hard about it. At first, I thought about doing the obvious of changing my eating and exercise habits. However, that week I had just gotten the results of my anatomy exam, and after seeing the grade I got I knew something had to change. This is when I decided to choose to change the way I look at my school work. For that reason, I chose to focus on my study habits by choosing the behavior of procrastination. I choose this behavior of procrastination because since starting my freshman year of college, I had struggled with getting into the routine of spending time on each subject daily. “I’ll do it tomorrow” is a famous line that many of us use, especially when we don’t feel like doing something that does not need immediate attention. For instance, that English paper that’s due at the end of the week or the pile of dirty laundry left untouched for days or maybe even that doctors appointment you’ve been meaning to make since February. In this essay I will be explaining to you how to get things done promptly and efficiently to avoid procrastination.
