Example Of Collaboration In A Clinical Setting

A specific example of collaboration I have seen in my clinical setting is the use of rounding with the nurses and doctors and the use of team huddle in the morning time. In team huddle, they nurse manager discuss different aspect of cares and asks about any falls, if anything is missing in the patient room, and about discharges. The team huddle helps keep everyone informed about what is happening on the floor and how to better improve patient care. The other thing I have seen is that at a specific time the doctors come on the floor to perform their rounding. As the doctor performs the rounding the nurse follows the doctor around and sometimes into the patient room with them. This helps ensures that everyone is on the same terms about the plan
