For instance, most school cafeterias don’t have healthy lunches. Some unhealthy lunches include macaroni and cheese, chicken wings, and cheeseburgers. Instead of those unhealthy foods, you could bring fruits a granola bar or another option would be a sandwich and nuts. My friend usually gets food from the cafeteria and one day she was just casually eating her pizza until I pointed out that there was a hair in it. She stopped eating it right away and now brings her lunch to school every day. Imagine you’re just eating your lunch that you packed and the kid next to you is eating a musty school lunch. The kid next to you starts coughing his face is getting red and puffy he is having and allergic reaction to what he was eating but didn’t know that it was in his food. Bringing your lunch from home allows you to choose the food you want and can eat that won't bother your
allergies.
Finally, many school lunches offer a little amount a variety of foods to choose from. If you are like me and are a picky eater then you don’t like most of the foods, they provide you. For example, I dislike various foods like macaroni and cheese, fish sticks, and corn dogs. When I would usually get those foods in school, I would give it away to one of my friends or just not get lunch at all. Not all schools have vending machines so not everyone has the option to at least get a snack. Schools usually just make one food and prepare thousands of that one food. By lunch time they don’t have the time to make different varieties. If you don’t like it, you don’t eat until you get home. Although, if you pack your food at home, you decide what goes into your lunch. Some kids in the school can't afford to bring lunch every day, but healthy foods are not as expensive as junk foods. They could bring their favorite foods and have a nice lunch for a change.
In conclusion, you should bring your own lunch from home because it is healthier, you know what you are putting into your body, and you will bring what you like to eat. I have brought lunch to school since the eighth grade and I’m glad I started. Usually, lunch would be the pinnacle of my day but then the food would get so bad I just wanted to stay in class. Some days I just wouldn’t eat and just waited until I got home. People don’t have to eat greasy, cold food if they just bring a lunch. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, you should also bring your lunches because most lunches comprise of dairy and milk products.
