The place that I decided to volunteer at was the St. Thomas Church Pantry. The purpose of this service is to get food to people who have fallen upon tough financial times. One business skill that this group needs to keep the food pantry running is marketing skills. One of the struggles that food pantries have is not getting enough food donations of items they need. So, the leader of the pantry must ask for donations of the items that they run low on. This also means that the volunteers at the Pantry must take inventory on food items to ensure that they will not run out of certain food items. Also, they have to have a volunteer schedule just like most businesses this is to ensure that at least two volunteers will be working during the two days of the week that the Pantry is…

Atelophobia is the fear of imperfection and it is this human condition that many of today's advertisements are geared upon affecting. While the majority of people will not likely claim to be perfectionists, it is clear that nobody wants to be disliked or alienated by others. It is this desire of inclusion that propels people to undergo extreme measures and seek quick solutions through the plethora of creams, makeup, deodorants, and surgical options available today. The door to something genuinely original stays shut; our mediocre desire materializes, as such. We enjoy this feeling, as do others. We may even worship it. The price, however, does not come cheap:…
