haunted house
"Hello there! Who are you? And what ... are you doing here." A soft , low pitched voice spoke behind me. I gradually turned with my heart beat raising, nose freezing and body trembling like a fish raised out of water.
The squeaky noise of my shoe and the noise of my breath echoed along the long, dim hall. Drops of sweat fell from the tip of my blonde, shaggy, long hair. Sliding down my nose like a drop of water falling in a water fall, the drops fell in front of me forming a paddle in the middle of the check tiled, dust hall ground.
My paralyzed lips turning pale, fingers stiffed and body not being able to move. Forcefully I turned my self towards the beam of sunlight and staring upon the cobweb covered chandelier.
The minute I stared at the swinging curtains a pale-white faced, short girl with dark eyes and long black hair passed through me at the speed of lightning. She vanished within seconds and looked unhappy. She went towards the offices. I saw her entering Mrs. Boole's office. I ran into the room and saw the chairs moving. I pushed myself back towards the door to escape but the door shut and locked up.
The taste of death, smell of dead rats and the feeling of fear flew through my soul like cold breeze fondling through my skin. I start panting, felt scared and got dizzy. I got unconscious and fainted.
The next thing I see is my parents standing on my head when I wake up and I bathing in sweat. Questioning my self , "was it a

My lungs became a still sea, without a hint of a breeze. My mouth morphed into a dry, barren dessert. My heart began drenching my blooding with adrenaline. Yet, I took further irrevocable steps towards the door, as if an omnipotent force controlled my body like a puppet. Ferociously greeting me was quaint doll, adorned with a Victorian gown, sitting across a table of what seemed to be a small playroom.…

This event is more extreme than ever this year, containing five attractions for one admission price between $20 and $30. The five attractions are Uncle Jimmie’s Place, Das Kamp, Blind Panic, The Graveyard, and the Slaughterhouse. This haunted house is not recommended to children under the age of 12 due to the gory, disturbing characters walking throughout the forest. The main thing is, why don’t they just leave? The answer in the best haunted house literature is, they don’t leave because they cannot. Something keeps them inside. When someone takes on a house they form a bond between self and architecture. Houses are where people have to go when they are trying to hide. This makes it all the more terrifying when the houses turn on us. Our houses are everywhere.…

Haunted houses are normally visited during Halloween, which has become a tradition for many people. Men and women visit these haunted houses to experience a bit of danger because people are not sure if these ghosts are a threat; therefore, they must go see to believe. At the end of these haunted houses people should be a bit scared, but they should be able to recognize the fun in it. In the case of the Mckamey Manor haunted house it is known for being the most extreme. I believe it is not a haunted house, but more of a torture chamber. It is a place where the whole point of a haunted house has changed, kept in stressful environment, and ruthless. Mckamey Manor is taking the haunted house idea too far.…

I distinctly remember having lost all feeling in my tongue and walls closing in around me. I remember sitting on my bed, feet dangling over the edge. Visions of my brothers, my nephew, and my unborn son flashed in my mind like lights warning me to not come any closer; for if I did, I would meet a similar fate. The light from the television flickered on our faces; mine blank, two shameful, and the last with rage. There is not a single noun, verb, or complex sentence in any language to describe how I felt that night.…

My body shoots up suddenly and vomit arises from throat. My head is pounding. It feels like it’s banging against the window of a moving bus. It’s an earthquake. I rush to the bathroom, chunks spewing out of my mouth as I run. I hear a creak. My mind registers another presence in the room. I am afraid. I slowly turn my head cautiously, my face frozen is fear, eyes widening as I take in the figure before me. "Beth" I whisper…

I am awake. I have no idea what time it is, but it’s light outside. I sit up in bed, I try to move my arms but I can’t, what’s going on? I try to move my legs but I can only move them so far. I look down and I see I have a tight blue cloth suit on that restricts my movement severely and that my legs are chained to the bed posts. I try to see what I look around the dark and dingy room, hardly a room in fact, more like a box with a bed and me.…

Snow started to shower as if on a peaceful rainy night and I look for any opening, trying to escape this creature that was following me. I could make out a large building figure ahead and ran directly to it, exhorting my energy as I advanced through the shivers in my body and aching bloodstained legs. An old tainted church-like mansion appeared as the fog cleared and I forced my way up the frigid sleet hill and onto a rusty pavement beside the building. I leaned upon the 5-metre tall wooden door trying to hear any sound coming from inside the outsized building, trying to sense any civilisation as the sky slowly turned into a rich black shade. I knocked onto the polished door, trying to depict a reaction from the owner that might've lived in this secluded place. Lights started to rapidly appear above the door and forming a luminous loop around the entire mansion, whilst the door blew open with such force that I was knocked back onto my spine. I tried to scamper away on my knees as a spine-chilling sensation started to form from what was a supernatural…

When I went in closer, it felt a little hot and uncomfortable, the place was burning like hell. It was an outdoor concert. I started sweating, as the beat of the music gets louder, the whole stage started to shake and vibrate. my muscles tensed as more and more people started squeezing me into a square. It felt like standing in a middle of a cornfield, except tighter, less cooling, and uncomfortable. As the people at the concert started to sway back and forth, left and right, going according to the beat of thee music, I was forced to move myself as well.…

In my essay I am going to explain if Buddhism is a religion or not. Personally I think it is a religion because Buddhism is a way of life on the teachings of a man who lived in northern India more than two and a half thousand years ago. The followers called him Buddha. Buddhists think that he had discovered the truth about life. Buddhists want to get enlightened by doing good things and by meditating. They both believe in reincarnation (something bad happens to you it's because of something you did in a past life) and also being vegetarians. In the following paragraphs I will explain why people might agree or disagree with the statement.…

The shadow lead me to a room which was filled with a lot of popping coloured potions on the table, walls covered with moulds eating them away and an abnormal damp smell. Then, to my horror, there laid a girl beneath the table. I was scared out of my wits but still decided to walk in. As I started walking, the evil scientist hurried in with his ugly looking dog. Seeing this I hid myself behind the door and peeped in. He came closer to the girl who was groaning in fear.…
