kitchen in Philadelphia, there I have helped prepare meals for the homeless and helped serve them their food. In addition to all this I have volunteered to help with the Bernie Sanders’ campaign while he was running for president.
I have always believed that getting involved with politics is extremely important and hope to continue activities like this in college. Lastly, and most importantly, I helped my uncle, who had recently received a lung transplant after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. I have made meals for him, helped him eat and helped him with his daily hygiene. Helping him with all of this is part of the reason I wish to become a nurse, I find caring for people and helping others to be extremely important and gratifying and would love to spend my life doing just that. Due to how I treat my school work as well as how I spend my time outside of school I believe that I would do very well in the nursing program at West Chester. I have learned very important skills throughout high school about how to manage my time as effectively as possible due to working so often, and I have learned how important it is to me to help others when they are in need and how rewarding it is due to volunteering at a soup kitchen and taking care of my uncle. Most importantly however, I have learned what it means to be an adult because of the way I now am able to balance school as well as all of the other activities in my life and no longer feel the stress I once did with
it.
