I Love To Play Softball
My love for playing ball started about when I was about five years old. I started out playing t-ball and then I played C team baseball and eventually started playing town-ball for softball. I was getting to be a better player and my mom thought it would be a good idea for me to play travel ball. At first I didn't like that idea because I didn't know anyone and I didn't think I was going to make it on the team. Luckily I did make the team and I loved the idea of getting to play softball all summer long. I enjoyed softball but then my coach had started to bench me and wouldn't tell me why and I wanted to quit softball altogether. I wanted to quit until a coach that was watching me for awhile and wanted me on his team. In so many ways I'm glad

Basketball and baseball are the greatest things to ever happen to me. There is not one day where I do not enjoy shooting hoops or hitting home runs. People always say that I should be playing baseball because of how fit and athletic I am, so I tried it out, and it turned out I was pretty good. For basketball it was a different story. People have said that I was way too short, but my first game I scored about twenty points and everyone kept quiet.…

Many family members played baseball professionally, such as my great-grandfather, grandfather, and father. Our love of baseball is where the journey began. It was a trip of lifetime, my family and I ventured on a baseball park trip across the country. I came from a family of really athletic people. My Mom and sister Kaitlyn both played softball from a young age and had many great accomplishments. My sister Kassidy played soccer from a young age as well. I have a lot to live up to. I started playing soccer when I four and I played for one year until I was no longer interested in it anymore. I started softball when I was five, and it wasn’t my favorite. I then retreated back to soccer for a few years. When I was in second grade, I cut my ankle on the bowl that my dog broke when I was trying to get cereal because I was hungry. After that I really didn’t want to play soccer anymore, so I decided to retire my soccer cleats forever. After this, I tried various different ranging from swim team to softball, and as you can imagine, softball stuck. When it did though, it came with my hot-headed personality showing. There was no way around it. I was also very independent, which could be a good thing in some cases, but as I got older I was required to do more group work. I just didn’t know how to.…

As a child, I grew up carrying a baseball glove and a pearly white baseball wherever I went, hoping for the chance of finding a partner to play catch with. The game of baseball was never just a game for me; it was a lifestyle that I had fallen in love with. With that being said, the fundamentals of baseball had no immediate effect on me as a kid. However, as I have matured along with my love for baseball, I believe that the game my life has been centered around for nearly twelve years has shaped me into the person I am today.…

Every single day I was outside either playing catch or working out. I remember at the time I was playing for the St Louis Sting, I continued the season to have the most innings pitched, lowest earned run average, second highest batting average, most doubles, most strike outs, and I also pitched my first no-hitter. Without having the dedication or motivation none of this could have happened. I went from playing catch once a week to everyday. I also would continue on and play baseball at Parkway South High School and lead that season in strikeouts. As I grew older I started to realize that I have the capability to play baseball for the rest of my life and that's something that is unexplainable. To be able to do something you love to do for the rest of your life is remarkable to me. I get that all because of a game.…
