It was day one, and our first stop was at Clark, Pampanga. We had our breakfast at a five star buffet. While we were getting our food, I’m still pretty anxious towards my cousins even though we have our small talks inside the van as we got there. Not anxious because of my English because I have already gone through the horrors of minimal vocabulary, but due to the fact that I was making an impression to them. But as soon as I got back to our table, when I saw my cousins and my brothers laughing while sharing each of their experiences, all my petty edginess vanished. I realized that I should just be true to myself, like my brothers who only imparted some of their funny childhood experiences with my cousins when I was not born yet. Thus, while enjoying the tasty, voluptuous, and classy foods, I began sharing my “real” self to them. It was uncanny, I think they unquestionably laughed and enjoyed me.
After ten long hours of trip, we stopped by Ilocos Sur. It was evening then and we had dinner in the carinderias of the lively streets of Vigan. While enjoying the blissful lights and elegant historical setting of the place,
