Impact Of Globalization On American Culture
In the mid-19th Century globalization has impacted the society of the United States culturally, politically, and economically by opening up their markets worldwide and spreading American culture.
From a cultural standpoint the culture of america has changed due to the rise of the internet. With the internet citizens had the chance to change the old technology into new and advancing their everyday lives. The culture of America are affected by the benefits or faults of technology to the degree and the way people put it to use. Technology itself is free of any values. Technology is a means for change in the business environment in order to make it well-suited for human needs. Culture and technology have a direct relation and both of these affect each other as they develop and change over time. For example, due to the interest in technology rising, the interest in farming decreased. Therefore, physical labor is not as important as white collar jobs. This became a downside to many citizens living in urban areas because they began losing jobs and people to technology and infrastructure. However, many people were offered more jobs in cities due to the growth of businesses. The U.S. economy went from not needing technology to earn living to depending on it massively. Today, in order to get a low-level job either at Walmart, or McDonald's you need to have access and understanding of technology because they only accept applications online. Even in non-technology firms, big corporations, and small businesses in urban and rural settings Internet use is necessary. At the same time education is being changed also due to technology. Everything in school now is done with the computer or some sort of device that uses the internet. Technology has changed America and the way we live our everyday
