CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a management function that helps manager’s recruit, select, train and develops members for an organization. Human Resource Management encompasses those activities designed to provide for and co-ordinate the human resources of an organization. Human Resource Management is concerned with the peoples dimension in the organization. In an organization where individuals and group work together to meet a common objective differences of opinion might occur sometimes certain inconvenience may arise. These things lead to complaints. Complaints are not promptly attended to, it leads to dissatisfaction. Dissatisfaction also occurs. When certain expectations, real or perceived, are not met in the job. Dissatisfaction is the cause of grievance complaints can be against a supervisor, about a machine, against the working environment, against workload etc....Grievance produce unhappiness, frustration, discontent, inefficiency and low productivity. The grievance is highly poisonous to both the company and its employees. The project entitled ‘impact of grievance on employees efficiency with special reference to Kerala Balers Pvt Ltd, Alleppey.

Objectives * To identify the impact of grievances on employee efficiency. * To identify the various problems that arises in the organization due to grievances. * To identify the various methods that can be adopted to control grievances. Significance
Grievance is something which affects both the organization and its employees. Here the study is conducted to identify the impact of grievance on employee efficiency. It also helps to identify the various factors that influence the human employee behaviour. Grievance of employees is one of the important factors which determine the work efficiency.
