1.) Aside from the advantage of instantaneous transmission of information, what other advantages do you see with types of performance appraisal system on the internet?
Immediately, I found several advantages for those participating in using the 360- degree performance appraisal system via the Internet. First, due to the fact, that the 360 performance appraisal is internet-based, it provides accessibility 24 hour a day thus allowing the appraisal to completed virtually at any time and from anywhere. In addition, with an approximate 20 minute timeframe for completion, it's not considered to be very time consuming. Finally, providing an encrypted internet-based performance appraisal system ensures confidentially which allows for more honest feedback without the possibility of retaliation.
The following advantages are more constant with the corporate or organizational side and how the 360-degree performance appraisal system operate more effectively.
First, the performance appraisal system could help indicate or even provide greater insight to any potential conflict amongst supervisors, subordinates, peers or managers. Because, the performance appraisal system has been converted to an online application, any modification or design alterations can be uploaded quickly now saving time and potentially money as well. Another advantage is once the performance appraisals are completed, based on the results, follow-ups and action plans can be derived. Finally, because the performance appraisal system is internet-based it can also be uniquely designed and developed for a company or organizations' specific needs.

Complete and transparent communication is paramount, prior to implementing this or any other new corporate strategy. First, it's of the highest importance, that purpose of this strategy be effectively communicated clearly
