1. The man that was blind was given a second chance to stand up for truth and be put out of the synagogue or deny the truth and keep his synagogue membership.

3. A person that continually stands up for truth will come to the light that Jesus is the Truth.
4. The man that was blind stood up for truth and said, “I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?”
5. When the Jews said, “Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples,” they made it very clear that they were not Moses disciple, because Moses was a disciple of Jesus Christ. B. 1. I Kings 18:22-26, This man is making fun of these Jews just as Elijah made fun of the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel.
2. God will hear any sinner “that doeth truth”, that is how we come to the light of Jesus Christ, but a person that continually hardens their hearts towards truth and God, “God will not hear.”

2 Kings 6:18-22, The Bible records people that were blinded by God and later God open their eyes, but this man is the first person that was born blind and God has healed. II. John 9:34-35, “34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they castb him out. 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?” A. When the Pharisees could not get the man to agree with them that Jesus was a sinner, they began to put him down with their lack of knowledge.
1. John 9:2-3, “2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”

4. When Jesus knew that this man had been cast out the house of God, and all had forsaken him for standing up for truth, Jesus went looking for the man and found him.

1. Jesus had opened this man’s physical eyes, and now Jesus has opened his spiritual eyes to see Him.

John 9:39-41, “39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin
remaineth.”
3. God has sent every believer into the world for judgment, so that those who do not know Jesus as Saviour we see Him, and those that think they see Him will know that they are blind.
4. The Pharisees were blind and didn’t know it, “and said unto him, Are we blind also?”
5. The Pharisees were the teachers of God’s people, and because they said, “We see” they were condemn by their own words.
