ASB Essay
There are many reasons why I feel I would be the best candidate for the job of commissioner. Throughout my freshman and sophomore years, I have enjoyed all the activities such as spirit days, guest speakers, and more. I realize the amount of detailed work required to bring about all of the events. I would like to play a larger part in TL High School and the activities going on throughout the next two years of my high school experience.
If elected, you would find I am a responsible, determined, and hard working person. I am a dedicated student who very rarely earns below a B. I also feel I am creative and pay great attention to detail. I have shown this in my volunteer work with seniors, at Alma Via, and I have worked with children and adults with disabilities through the horse program at Sonoma State Hospital. I have helped organize family gatherings, outings, and set up for parties with flair and good times. I enjoy the aspect of planning and putting together the fun details for everyone to enjoy.
In the role of commissioner, I would like to bring more spirit and laughter into the activities for the students. I would also enjoy meeting and working with other students and making new friends. It is a very important role to bring excitement and fun to school. My role as commissioner would be to encourage everyone to enjoy school and have memories in high school last forever.
There are also many ideas I have that I would like to share with the committee and hope to use someday. If I were on the committee some goals I would like to share are would be another dance in spring or a challenge day to help people come together. It could help us raise money for the school to improve various supplies or new equipment. There are many ways I feel my ideas or creativity can help the committee and Terra Linda High School be a better place for everyone and I would love to be a larger part of my school.
