it’s the background in his dreams; one hundred acres. more than anything, he's certain piglets don’t walk on two legs.

there’s never been a time when things weren’t this way. lettie gets up before the sun and sits by the window, where neighbors and friends walk hurriedly past. they never notice lettie, and sometimes that’s upsetting.

most of the time, however, it’s preferred.

the area around piglet’s house is overrun with wildflowers; there's enough time in the day to give each one a name, so he does, and once he's finished rabbit's come 'round to ask a favor.
