He can’t seem to understand why people would give their driver rights to a machine. He asserts, “They will not live up to the predictions of safety and convenience” (Frenzel). Frenzel doesn't believe the self-driving cars will live up to the expectations we all have for them.
Frenzel created this text because of his concern towards self-driving cars. He indicates, “I realize that the technology is there to do this, and there is a massive effort inside and outside the automotive industry to produce self-driving cars. But why are we doing this?” (Frenzel). He doesn't understand the purpose of self-driving cars when people are capable of driving themselves. Frenzel discusses the concern towards the move for self-driving cars. He doesn’t understand why we would give our driving rights to technology along with the cars not being what they are talked up to be. New technology is being invented everyday to make the world a more suitable place. We don’t believe that will be the effect of self-driving
