Lynx's Story Essay: The Skypath Myth
She had been walking all day. Her feet hurt and her bones ached, but it would all be worth it: she was almost there;
Lynx Amour, the girl who dreams to find The Skypath that she has been told various times by her Uncle when she was a kid. The Skypath myth was told to everyone around the town, Lynx would alway be the narrator of the Skypath myth, narrating and describing the story like she had seen everything, felt everything, heard everything as if… she has been there.
Were the stories all true? Did the path truly lead where she had been told? If it did, this was only just the beginning of her journey…
Lynx remembers the day when her Uncle first told her a story about a Skypath;
Flashback
“Uncle, Uncle! Tell me a story before I go to sleep. …show more content…
PLEASEEEEEE!!” Young Lynx exclaimed to her uncle, tugging on Uncle’s sleeves as she led him to her (Lynx) bedroom. Lynx jumped onto her bed, got comfortable and looked up expectantly at her Uncle with her puppy eyes.
“What story would you like?” Uncle asked quietly and gently to the little girl staring at him.
“A Story you haven't told to me before Uncle…Maybe something magical?” Lynx replied hesitantly and slowly to Uncle
“Where do I begin-”
Slowly but surely she couldn't feel the ground anymore and noticed that she had begun falling into a pit of darkness!
“KKYAAA!!!” Lynx screeched as she realized what was happening. Snapping out of her train of thoughts. Clasping her eyes shut.
After whatever felt like an eternity, Lynx had finally landed on the ground, but what seems to be fortunate was actually unfortunate. She had hit the ground with a powerful force resulting to her losing conscience.
(Sky Realm - ‘Dream’ World)
Lynx shifted ever so slightly but as soon as she did her face contorted in pain, regretting that she ever moved.
Every single inch of her body felt as if she was run over a truck three times and then someone dropped a million bricks on her.
Lynx had contemplated to rest or to continue her journey in pain. She then decided to rest until the pain lessens.
Moments later…
Lynx groaned quietly as she massaged her sore back reliving a bit of pain, then rubbed her eyes to ease away the blurriness. After doing so she glanced around her as she noticed that she wasn't surrounded by a pit of darkness and dirt, but by thick fog and snow mountains.
Exactly at that moment, a path rose up in front her, twisting through the mist like a snake queening its prey.
“Am I dreaming? Is this really happening?” Lynx questioned herself doubting every moment. Hesitantly, she stepped onto the Skypath, feeling butterflies in her stomach, Paranoid that she would fall off the path.
Once Lynx knew that she wouldn't fall off the path, she walks up the Skypath with confidence following the bright …show more content…

The closer she gets, the closer she sees the bright light turn into a silhouette, then into a sky village. Lynx had looked like a lost child look for someone -Which she kinda was- a few villagers walked past her Ignoring her presence. That was until a guard approached her, knowing her reason for being here.
“You’re looking for someone to tell you if this is real aren't you?” The Guard questioned her, still knowing her answer.
“Yea...h” replied Lynx, unsure of how the Guard knew.
“Could you possibly help me find someone to explain this to me?” Lynx continued.
“King Skia the II would best explain this to you,” the Guard responded thinking to himself.
“How will I find this...King Skia the II?” Lynx Queried
“Follow this golden path” The Guard informed whilst pointing towards the path underneath them.
Lynx thanked the guard, waving to him as she walked off to find the palace.
A Brief moment later…
Lynx continued to traverse on the golden path as she waited for a castle to appear, but what she didn’t expect to see was a Castle made out of blinding stars and fluffy clouds! Cautiously she approached the luminous castle, however, once Lynx got close to the castle, black dots plodded across her vision until the darkness had swallowed her.
Blinking rapidly, she adjusted her eyesight to the current tinge of brightness. Sitting up she notices a young blonde man standing in front as he wears a royal blue suit covering it with a flowy crystalline-white cloak, Lynx assumed that this is King Skia the II that the guard was talking about.
“Ah, you must be the next generations daughter!” Skia the II welcomed her with a warm gleaming smile.
“Next generations… what?” Lynx pondered, not understanding what he meant.
“Don’t worry about it, I guess you are here to find the answer?” Skia II queried her.
“Yes sir, I am actually wondering whether this is real or not”
“Well...Whatever happens here is never actually real but a Hallucination or a Dream but what's different is that you will remember everything that happened here, the obstacles you face, the conversations you had, your journey to the castle, everything.” Skia II answered her telling her a half lie.
“So I am actually dreaming?” Lynx asked as she confirmed on what he said.
“Sadly, yes you are.” the King replied gloomily.
“Now Ms. Amour, I need you to lie back down again and close your eyes” Skia II instructed he, as soon as she laid back down on the bed Skia II began to speak a mantra in greek causing her to drift to sleep, the kings silvery voice soon faded into a room of silence.
Awakening, a bright radiance grazes across her body covering her like a blanket, all she could hear was insects *Chirr Chirr* around her. Lynx stretched her arms, feeling weak and frail from her tiredness, glancing around she notices that she was at the bottom of Mount Gabrielle again.
What will happen to the myth? Will this myth continue to the next generation and onwards? Was everything just a dream? What will happen
next?
