Question 17: What aspect of your personality is most commonly misunderstood by others? I would describe as a rather introverted individual, who has a lot of energy, likes to try new things, but at the same time I keep to myself and I entertain with my own thoughts. In addition, I am also very expressive of my emotions and feelings as I could surprise anyone with my sudden shift in personality from reserved or quiet with an outburst of anger or strong emotions. Scientists also find that it is very difficult for extroverts to understand introverts, so it is not surprising that my depth of emotions is largely misunderstood by others especially when my normal countenance is one of reticence. Personality could be defined as the ability of an individual to adapt to others and the environment around us, it captures how we align with other people and how we do not align with other people in society (Tsuji, 2016). This is especially true of me when I search for jobs or attend interviews, where I need to express my skill and showcase my capabilities, which could be very difficult and might feel artificial as I must be someone else to express aspects of my abilities. The introvert may not perform well in answering direct questions on their accomplishments since it moves them from their comfort zone, but unfortunately the North American culture values communication more than other skills, which is an unfair bias toward extroverts (Pankratz & Zimenoff, 2014). Thus, I feel at a comparative disadvantage when competing with extroverts for the same jobs or work
