Dear Sirs/Madams,
I was very glad to see this scholarship opportunity and with this letter I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the Government of the People’s Republic of China for this program. I am a graduate from XXXXX holding the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
The five years undergraduate MBBS course formed the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in depth knowledge in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology which was further accentuated during my internship course in the public hospital. I deem it highly important for women to have the highest quality of medical care and for this purpose we, health care professionals, should receive the best education and training which I believe is provided by your universities.
Owing to limited resources and facilities, I have not been able to proceed with further studies here in Mauritius or elsewhere as I lack the necessary funds. I would be grateful to be provided with sponsorship to further my education and incent my career prospects. With the knowledge and skills gained in the University in China, I intend to return to my home country to serve to my best my population in the public sector.This scholarship opportunity I believe is an extraordinary chance to interact with students from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds as well as the people of China.
Finally I am determined to make the most of the scholarship program. I believe that being a student at one of your universities will empower my career development to a large extent and contribute largely to the health system of Mauritius.
