The motivations being targeted in the Old Navy commercials are that you can get cute stylish clothing from Old Navy for a low cost. The commercial wants you to see the fashionable clothing that they are selling. It is also asking for you stop what you are doing and go to Old navy and buy cloths and other items. The tone of the commercial is fun, outgoing and makes you want to go shopping at Old Navy to buy cloths. And because Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in the commercial it makes the commercial so entertaining.
The commercial is designed to motivate you to go buy jeans, dresses and bathing suits, something for all occasions. The advertisements will inspire you to enjoy the fashionable cloths and look cute. The commercial would not have been as effective if the commercials had not looked fun and hip with the stylish cloths. They also motivate customers by offering lots of deals and rewards for its loyal customers that like to spend money in their store. They make the prices more attractive by lowering their prices compared to similar clothing stores. If the commercial was just showing cloths without the people in them and the occasions presented it wouldn’t have motivated and inspired it’s shoppers to want to shop at Old Navy as much.
The commercial is about Julia from Seinfeld and her boyfriend soaking up the sun on an island when her boyfriend gets on one knee and pull out a ring to propose to her. Julia looks past him and the ring and notices a lady and her daughter wearing a couple of great outfits from Old Navy. After talking to the mother and daughter and hearing that the whole store is on sale, she runs back to her boyfriend with her own question and asks her boyfriend if she could borrow $25, so funny.
The commercials comes out in a way that motivates it’s viewers to buy, buy and buy more because the prices are so good. And
