I am interested in teaching and directing scenarios that are dramatic and sad, I find it a challenging to excite the audience and make them wonder what will happen next and at the same time make the actors\actresses have an enjoyable time on stage. I have gained practical experience whilst working in the acting department of the Australian institute of Dramatic arts as an amateur director for experience. This work experience gave me valuable insight into the psychology of actors\actresses and helped develop my teaching and directing skills. The feedback I have received from this work experience indicated that I was able to gain teaching skills quickly and enthusiastically. I am writing this quick letter to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my accomplishments and aspirations as a writer. I won't say that writing is in my blood or my genes or anything like that, but I will say that I do have an insatiable urge to write. I cannot say, but I definitely feel that writing is a passion of mine that I greatly enjoy. It is an urge that can only be satisfied and, even then, only temporarily, by stringing words together into a narrative. Ultimately, I greatly enjoy writing, although I do not consider myself to be stellar at it; I would call it a passion more than anything else.…

Since the early years of my educational background, writing presented itself to me as more of a chore than it did a creative hobby. Throughout the years, many teachers fell short in their attempts to inspire me to truly enjoy writing. These attempts, more of than not, included copious ammounts of academic writing, which perpetually solidified my view that the only way writing could be presented was in the form of a laborious chore. This was, of course,…

In fact, a study called Children’s Voices in South Australia claimed that the children who participated and watched live theater improved many of their social and literacy skills. One of the teachers at the school implied that young children around the of age of 10 were starting to use bigger words such as curious, amused, and inquisitive to explain how their experience with theater was. You can also improve your literacy skills by participating in theater productions. In addition, Literacy AmeriCorps believes a type of book called reader’s theater can allow for you to gain several oral and reading skills in a comfortable environment. Undoubtedly, this allows for us to gain confidence in ourselves about learning to read and getting better at reading. This will also help several teachers with teaching us as students how to give amazing oral speeches as well as get us to participate in class more with reading or answering a question. Everyone can agree that speaking in class is a hard thing to do in front of everyone else. So, being involved in live theater can help people with gaining confidence in speaking in front of others. Therefore, this proves that live theater is one of the many tools that can help us gain important life skills that can help us through our lives, whether it is giving a speech or writing a book with…

Writing in general is not one of my strong suits. It is difficult to highlight my strengths as I feel most of my writing shows off my weaknesses. However, it is extremely important for me to better my writing skills so I can reach my ultimate goal of earning my bachelor’s degree in business marketing. I have almost failed English class, on more than one occasion, because I could not grasp punctuation and where to put something as simple as a comma.…

    My Strengths As A Writer

I have always had faith in my writing capabilities; however, it wasn’t until I started my first year of college English, that I realized no matter how great of a writer I thought I was, there was always room for improvement! Some of my strengths as a writer include personality, voice, and the ability to add transitions that give character to my writing style. I have many weaknesses in my writing: grammar, spelling, punctuation (which I happen to be working on every time I write), and many other quirks that a brilliant writer would catch. Between paper one and paper two, I have mastered projecting my “voice”, as well as my personality. I like my papers to feel as though I was sitting next to the reader and chatting with them about my story.…

My Strengths and Weaknesses in writing are hard to identify. Since I don’t write a lot, there’s not much to relate to. My sentence structure and vocabulary are weak areas. Sometimes when I write an e-mail, and then come back to re-read it; it just doesn’t sound or flow right. I’m uncertain and feel embarrassed by my use of grammar and punctuation, so I tend to make every attempt to avoid writing at all. My spoken thoughts are much easier to transform into what I’m trying to communicate. Strengths are an active imagination. I have thoughts or can take a side on almost anything. I could just pick any topic and write about whatever. Discovering material, planning out my ideas, and drafting it all together would also be strengths.…

I want to give the experience of theatre to others. I want to inspire high school students the same way my high school theatre teacher inspired me. I want to give these students a safe place to explore themselves and develop their talents and their personality. I want to give to others connections and relationships that the theatre has given me, specifically friendships that have lasted several years and a sense of extended family. Theatre has given me so much in my life, and I, ultimately, want to give back to the institution that has made me who I am today, through the teaching of theatre to high school…
