My Lost Wallet

A wallet, or purse for some, is a precious item in which most people carry things more essential than money towards everyday life. If some people were to lose that portable safe, they may be offset for the rest of that day. The person without their wallet could be cranky or depressed for a while. Maybe something of great sentimental value was in that wallet. This person could stay holding these feelings for a long time, until they find their belongings by which case they are filled with joy. I, personally, keep anything I may have interest in knowing where it is, in my wallet. I am very good about always having my wallet and never losing it...until recently.

In my wallet, I store personal items such as my license and some pictures. Among other things, I have my money, like everybody else, and certificates for stores. Last summer, I went to the Ocean City with my family. I drove down there with my wallet and took it everywhere with me, like I would any other time. Well, when someone doesn't have pockets, then it is hard to keep their wallet right next to them at all times. I was carrying my wallet out from the hotel, along with my keys, and set both on top of the car. When I figured out that I needed the keys in order to get in the car and start it up, I took them off the top of the car, leaving my wallet behind. I sat in the car, car door open, waiting for my son to make it to the car so we could leave. Once he got in the car, without thinking, I closed, started the car and began to drive. I had been driving about half a mile before I realized that I didn’t have my wallet. Immediately, I pulled the car over, and the next hour or so was spent looking for my wallet. All I could think about was what I would lose if I didn't find my wallet. The week before was my birthday, and I was given $60 to Best Buy and $50 to Target. Aside from that I had $3 in cash. While walking up and down the road ere I lost my wallet that my

When I got in the car she told me we were going to stop at the Walmart near the hotel to get something to go with the food we had saved from breakfast. When we pulled into the parking lot a police car began following us. My mom parked the car and we got out and began walking to enter the store. The policeman jumped out of his car and started yelling at us to come back, it was at that moment when I felt it: something bad is about to happen. The police officer said that the rental car my mom had been driving was reported stolen because my mom's credit card had been declined. Then another police car pulled up and two officers got out and told my mom to put her hands on the hood of the car. Then a k9 unit pulled up and anther police officer and a dog got out. At that point, the first officer handcuffed my mom and put her in the back of the police car. Now all of the police officers were huddled talking meanwhile I stood there horrified. The police officer that arrested my mom came over opened the back door and told me to get in. he then slammed the door and walked back to the group of…

    2. Sort: Contents that were in the front pocket included trash, coins, pens, buttons, a phone and more. I sorted them into categories of trash, coins and things to keep. I was able to utilize an empty mint container to keep my spare change in. I also was able to sort the main part of the backpack into throwaway items (red tagging), folders, laptop, and accessories. I noticed two folders were empty and not being used so I disgarded them. This left…

Chabon begins his accounts through a rant about wallets. Being one of the most celecrated writers of his generation the public becomes all ears. They are too small, uncomfortable, and don’t hold all my change Chabon states in his essay, and later in the essay presents the point to try to put forth murses as a functional good looking way to carry your things all because, "the tools and appurtenances of a man's life must be containable within the pockets of his jacket and pants." He then continues to use pathos mostly to describe his pain he feels in having to carry around a wallet. He emphasizes the fact that a purse is like a “vagina on a strap” but he still wishes he could carry one himself. The fact that they’re so feminine and completely disgraceful for masculine men seems to make him want one more, and he wishes someone would create a “murse”. Sometimes the simplest thing can be so degrading for a man but yet is completely accepted and normal for a woman. Men are forced to carry backpacks, fanny packs or really anything as long as it’s not fashionable and not convenient. Men are allowed to be fashionable just without any…

Last week I spent time packing up boxes and moving things around the house. In the process, I started pulling things out of places where I had stashed them for safe keeping, forgetting that I even had these treasured items. While I was in this Spring cleaning frenzy, I opened a closet, no different from an attic or shed, and found an old forgotten box. When I finally managed to open it, a little disaster punched me right in my face, figuratively of course, but it got me thinking.…

The use of pennies is steadily declining. Most people don’t even keep track of the amount of coins they have, so it’s more than likely that they’ll think it’s useless, and dispose of it. People would throw away the pennies they have, without a second glance. Bit if we all save up our loose change, there’s a chance we’d be able to save up to hundreds, or possibly even millions of pennies.…

I am a very forgetful person. I can lose things within minutes and have absolutely no idea as to where it is. Consequently, being that person can be very tough because no one really trust you with their belongings, you lose everything and it becomes very frustrating, etc. So it is very of the norm for me to causally misplace my phone. One day while leaving the mall after a day of handing out with friends I realized I misplaced my phone. I didn’t really give it much thought because this is a normal habit for me. However, it wasn’t until I got home that I realized, “I really don’t have my phone.” I went straight into panic mode because I realized that it could be anywhere, with anyone. After about forty-five minutes of crying and searching,…

Another thing I have learned throughout the course of this year is to NEVER RUN WITH YOUR WALLET IN YOUR POCKET. Why? Because you wallet will probably fall out. One day I was going to go out to by some pencil crayon and paper, so I ran out to rush for the bus that would go to Staples, a supermarket full of school and office equipments. Guess what had happened, yep I lost my wallet on the way to the bus station, so I had to go back home empty-handed. Luckily someone returned my wallet to the school office the next day. But I doubt that will happen every time I drop wallet.…

We went skiing for 6 hours straight and my whole family was tired. When we returned to the condo we ate lunch and the smell of hamburgers and frijoles was in the air. When we were about to leave I had to go to the restroom. “SPLASH!” it heard as my phone dropped in the toilet. I was thinking what will my parents reaction would be this time.
