In this context of the chapter-opening vignette, the personality traits can achieve person become a high executive. It including four factors: self-concept, self-esteem, self-efficacy, self-monitoring. I think I have all of them, but the extent I reach that is not enough to become a high-level. I think I have clear self-concept and self-esteem, because I know who I am. As a human, I know what physique I have, what social grade I stand in. Also, I have a belief about my own self worth based on an overall self-evaluation. About the Self-Monitoring, I think sometimes I can extent to my own self-expressive behavior and adapt it to the situation. But the self-efficacy I have, I think I still have weakness in this point. Sometime I can’t control the situation which it need the high efficacy to complete. 2. If the person is passive; avoid difficult tasks; focus on personal deficiencies; quit or become discourage because of setbacks, he might be have low self-efficacy. I think the first step is that help he build his confident. To tell him he can do the job, he can set a plan and follow. To encourage him to set a goals, try hard to achieve. Second, work with him, guide him how to complete the task methodically. 3. On scales of low = 1 to high = 10, how would you rate yourself on the Big Five personality dimensions?
