to demonstrate genuine compassion care and honor to residents in one of the prestigious assisted living center in Seattle, Washington. I was recognized multiple times and awarded prizes for demonstrating compassion, patience and diligence. My motto always has been to treat others the way I wanted to be treated. I believe I will be an excellent nurse practitioner, because I have the tendency to listen actively and the compassion to care others. Furthermore, I also bear Accountability, integrity, moral and ethical values, which incorporate the basic nursing values.
In addition, I also sought a career that will best maximize my talents, and where I could make a difference in people’s lives.
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Oral Roberts University and obtained a registered nurse license. I worked in Hospital setting for more than five years. I was promoted to a different role as a charge nurse, preceptor in leadership clinical to senior university nursing students and mentored others by demonstrating integrity, accountability, moral and ethical leadership. In leadership I strived for best outcome by consistent planning, measuring and adjusting performance.
However, In the last two years, I have transitioned to care patients on several different units such as the Oklahoma Heart Institute, Rehab, Stroke, etc. As a nurse with over five years of experience, I have worked alongside doctors, PA and nurse practitioners daily. I believe Nursing is an avenue of continued learning, which involves critical thinking skills where I can also pursue to learn and continue to develop. Therefore, I am interested to continue my study to obtain graduate degree in online (MSN), Master of Science in Nursing with focus in (FNP) family nurse practitioner in Maryville
university.
I believe my experience as nurse and working in different areas of the hospital caring variety of patients with variety medical problems will assist me in my continuing education towards family Nurse Practitioner, from respectable school as Maryville University. My goal is also to take this opportunity to impact family lives by effectively implementing holistic approach of evidence-based practice and ensure optimal outcome.
Although most of my work experience has been in hospital setting, I plan to transition and use the opportunity in working in primary clinic because Many changes in health care industry have led to broaden the scope of nursing practice setting for health care to be shifted from hospitals to community based. becoming a Nurse Practitioner is exciting challenge, which will allow me to serve a higher quality of healthcare to families of community while also educating a change in life style, in prevention of different disease.
After ten years my plan is to have my own clinic in mission work to reach to the third world population in educating the population caring and teaching about the disease and bringing the awareness of preventative methods of disease process. Finally, I believe I am a good candidate for studying online (FNP) family nurse practitioner graduating in Master of science in nursing from Maryville university, which will offer me to able to practice safe and effectively. Thank you for your consideration.
