Nursing Core Competencies Paper

In the creativity and development of nursing educational curriculum based on the need of the stakeholders which reflects to satisfy the individual patient as well as community in delivery of healthcare. Nursing educators are prepared to be a ‘change agent’ in healthcare system by their knowledge and skills, from innovative education experience and research outcomes. To effectively function as a change agent and leader to facilitate the activity certain criteria are described in Nursing Core Competencies. The novice educators are in position to analyze and examine the characteristics and what are the ways one can exercise the theory into practice, are elaborated in Competency 5 for nursing educators - to function as a change agent and leader
The application of ‘promoting innovative practices in education environment’ is found to be appropriate in the training of level ii nursing students to introduce the effect of outcomes from research. These scientific evidence to guide nursing practice as evidence-based practice enable the nursing educator to demonstrate confidently with positive attitude (Mehrdad et.al., 2011, p. 507). While teaching the student with any sort of the topic and procedures, I question the students to assess and evaluate their knowledge and skills verbally the extend how far they acquired from reading, and simlab training. Explain to them the role of evidence-based practice and outcome with scientific results integrated with cultural sensitivity. For an example of teaching core measures under ‘CAUTI’ with evidence of infection rate and complications as well as how to assess infection and the preventive measures.
