Nursing Transition Essay

My nursing career is very important to me and I have thought a lot about it. My greatest concern about transitioning from schooling to work is that I will not be as confident in my knowledge as I should be. I eventually plan on being a Nurse Practitioner (NP). I hopefully will be obtaining my NP within the next 4-8 years. I plan on taking the NCLEX test as soon as I can, and I have thought a lot about what I am going to do for my test prep. I have a concern about transitioning from schooling to working. My major concern is that I will not be as confident about my knowledge that I can be. I’m afraid that I’m going to not be as great of a nurse as I know that I can be in my transition from school to the workforce, I’m afraid that I am going to mess up a lot, or that I will just forget how to do something that I know that I know how to do. I’m very concerned that I won’t be as confident as I need to be, especially when I know what I need to do for someone and then I am afraid that I will second guess
I have purchased a book that I used to pass my LPN. It consists of a detailed description of every topic that I need to know for my RN test, and I am reading over it, and making notecards over the things that I need to study more for. I also plan on doing a lot of adaptive quizzing over the topics that I don’t do well on, and the topics that I did do well on for my Exit Tests 1 and 2. I may complete a course online, but I’m not sure that I will do that yet. I was told to do a multitude of questions to practice for the NCLEX, so that’s what I plan on doing from now until the day that I take the NCLEX test. The more questions the better off I will be. I have started practicing in that book now and started making notecards over the topics that I need to go over more now. I plan on taking it around June, July, or August. I plan on taking it as early as I can. I will be completing a lot of NCLEX questions before I take my state
