I have not only learned stuff about drugs, but I learned some stuff about Officer Trapp, I learned that he had a dog named ghost and that he died of old age. Black clouds shrouded the Kingdom of Proule. Lightning crackled and thunder roared, as large rain drops poured down the land. On the distance, east from the Kingdom, could be found the Oakwoods. As the loud downpour of the rain echoed, one can faintly hear a cry. Specifically, a baby’s cry.…

Slow keys of the piano are being heard. Out of the dark, a silhouette of HAPPY emerges, carrying a suitcase and a bouquet of cheap flowers. As he approaches a middle of the stage, we see the white tiles of the New York metro behind him. When you first met Nico you were about fourteen years old and had just arrived to Camp Half Blood. You were heading towards your cabin when you heard a group of campers laughing at two figures that were huddled in the middle of the circle that the bullies had formed. You noticed one boy shielding the other as the campers threw sticks at them, cackling as they taunted them for being gay. You lowered your eyes, thinking about how the bullies back home made you do humiliating things in front of people because of your test scores. Clenching your fists, you took a deep breath tried not to get too upset.…

I, Captain Torres, who believes that our country should have better conditions, am here to bring out a new revolution! You people, who oppose us, definitely did not think it through! Have you ever thought about your living conditions? Wouldn’t you want to improve it? Or make it a better place for all of us to live in? Look at yourself and look at people around you! Don’t you people see what’s going on in our country? Do any of you even have the mood to just smile for one second? Eight years ago, November 18, 1968, in Turkey, Richard Moses, the leader of the Turkish people in a town, brought out a revolution! It was a total success! You stupid people didn’t know about it, did you? Every single person in Turkey cheered for the dramatic change! They received good food, decent wages, ethical living conditions, and millions more! Don’t you want any of those fantastic conditions? Take some time to think about your stupid actions stopping us! Think precisely! This is actually not only for our advantages, but also for the good of everyone single person here in this town! I command all of you to listen to me and support me! You will be living in broken houses, wearing torn clothes and barely having any food supplies! So, stop complaining about foolish people. Now, do not waste my precious time! Let’s get out of here! Let’s leave all these foolish people here and get on our way to the new revolution! Let’s go, I said…

    Del-Zek Monologue

I wanted to capture the thoughts and reactions of Del-Zek leading up to his death, which is why it is more like an inner monologue than just an ordinary journal entry. It's not really realistic for Del to write in a book right before being killed but I felt this was a great way to end his character arc as he lets go of his anger and truly accepts the great things in his life, including his teammates, who he has grown to care for, and Xaidan, the love of his life.…
