Castro. We won the rest of the games in the regular season with Tyler Castro and I making the League's All-Star team. With the Braves, we went all the way to the Championship game with Tyler Castro and I leading the team. We won the championship game winning 15-2 against the Angles. I won the MVP for the league and the championship game. We went to celebrate as a team at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was a great time and everybody was happy to be around each other.
A few years have past and not we are 12 years old. We were having a great season and had a winning record. We had 57 wins and 2 losses. Our 2 losses were from the number one team in the world. They were close games but they came out on top. As our last tournament of the year, we went to Cooperstown, New York. It was the biggest tournament in the Country. All of us were anxious and were happy to play. We were the only team from Illinois that year. So we said to ourselves that we were representing Illinois. That kept us motivated and people thought we wouldn’t go far because we were from Illinois. We went undefeated in pool play and now it was time for the playoffs. It was a one game elimination game and we wanted to go for in the tournament. We won 4 games in the playoffs and we had to wait until the next day to see who we would face in the semi finals.
Our whole team went to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
It was an amazing time and i was imagining me in the hall of fame and being one of the best baseball players ever. We get back to our dorm and we find out we are going to face. It was the best team in California and they were projected to win the whole tournament. We were all so nervous and trying to focus. We ended up winning the game 5 to 4 with me hitting 2 homeruns. We were onto the championship game. It was view online by thousands of people and everybody was watching us. It was the most nervous I have even been for a game. A lot of people were watching us and everybody was trying to stay calm and act like nobody's watching. That calmed everybody down. It was the 7th inning and it was a tie game. We were up to bat against a pitcher that was throwing 80 miles per hour. Our lead off hitter got on base with a walk. The next hitter got hit by the pitch. He got a base hit and the bases were loaded with no outs. I was up to bat and I was very nervous and was thinking not to try too hard and try to get a hit. My coach called me over and said “ Don’t be nervous, it’s just like a normal at bat, you don’t need be overly anxious and try to be a hero.” That helped me out a lot, I was calm and was trying to do nothing special. I swing and miss at the first pitch. The second was a ball outside, it was a 1-1 count. The next pitch was a fastball right down the middle. I took my hardest swing I could and I hit the ball right on the …show more content…
barrel. I hear everybody screaming and looking up and far. I found the ball in the sky and it was far. I HIT A WALK OFF HOMERUN!!!!! We won the championship and everybody was celebrating and screaming. It was the best thing that has happened to me yet. We were all so happy and relieved. The final score was 8 to 4. We went back to the dorm and we were all celebrating.
It was my final year in high school and I had big decision to make of what college I wanted to go to before the season ended.
I was a senior and I was the number one recruit in the country. I had a lot of colleges that wanted me. It was the start of the season and I wanted to do the best I can. Last year, I had 28 home runs and 102 RBI’s. It was the best I have ever done and after that year, many colleges were interested in me and wanted to see how I did the next season. I ended up having an amazing season with 32 home runs and 127 RBI’s. Before the tournament for state started I had to make a decision of what college I wanted to go
to.
Today is the day. I woke and I was very nervous and I was thinking about what college I want to go to and what college was affordable for my family. After what I did my morning workout, I got prepared to make my announcement of what college I am going to be playing for. I get in my car and drove to school to make my decision on national tv. Everybody in the room that was committing to a college was nervous and curious about their college they want to go to. I was the last person everybody saw to commit to a college. The media was all around me and I was a little nervous. With people watching at home, I have decided to play for the University of Florida. They were the best team in college baseball and I wanted to play for them.
Two months later, we won the state tournament. A couple of months later, I was packing up to go to Florida. I was hard to say by to all of my friends and family members. I wasn’t going to see them for 4 months. I got to the airport and got on the plane. I was upset about not seeing my friends and family for 4 months. I get to Florida and and the coach is showing me around and introducing me to the players. Out of the 4 years I was at Florida, we won 3 National Championships. I got drafted 1st pick of the MLB draft and in my rookie year, I won the Rookie of the Year award. In that year, I won the World Series with the Chicago. In my whole career, I won 8 world series. Finally, I was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, I always dreamed about that moment.
