Pros And Cons Of Affirmative Action Programs
Affirmative action is the process in which businesses or agencies gives special rights of hiring or advancement to ethnic minorities to make up for past discrimination. Affirmative action programs play a critical role in opening up opportunities for women and minorities. It is not a quota or a substitution for merit-based decisions, but a business management tools of goals for representation of minorities, and a timetables for meeting those objectives.
