Pros And Cons Of Driverless Car
2a. The computing innovation that is represented by my computational artifact is Google's Self Driving Car. The Self Driving Car “Waymo” is using technology to create a safe driverless car by using sensors, the information is then processed to navigate appropriate pathways for the vehicle to take, avoiding any obstacles and also obeying the road signs. The artifact attached with this starts by evaluating the cars accessories and what they do. Each part of the car has a certain function that is vital for the car to run correctly. The bottom part goes into the impact of driverless cars in society, the pros include how its better for the environment and more safe, and the cons deal with unemployment, less income for states, and less privacy.

A beneficial effect that Googles driverless car will have on society is the roads will be safer. Human error is a factor in most collisions. 94% of crashes are due to failing to look properly, misjudging other road users’ movements, being distracted, careless or in too much of a hurry are the most common causes of collisions on our roads. Driverless vehicles will not make these mistakes.Driverless cars will be required to obey all road traffic laws and The Highway Code and are expected to substantially reduce collisions, deaths and injuries. Another great effect is that it can revolutionize travel, people who have difficulties with driving, such as disabled people and older citizens, as well as young kids, would be able to travel in a car. There would be no need for drivers' licenses or driving tests. There are harmful effects as well. One of the harmful effects is that lots of people will lose their jobs such as truck drivers and taxi/uber drivers as self driving vehicles take over. Another harmful effect could be a computer malfunction, even just a minor glitch, could cause worse crashes than anything that human error could.
