Racism Speech
Hello every one , as most of youse already know my name is Anill goman and I’m here today to talk to you about an extremely serious issue that faces society today, racism. Racism is the discrimination of a person because of the race that they have inherited. There are many different types of racism, for example racism because of skin colour, birth place, religion e.c.t but they all got a couple of things in common. All kinds of racism are despicable and create a negative and sometimes dangerous emotional response.
Racism not only leads to social problems but in severe cases it causes mental illness and violence e.g. self harm, depression and the harming of others. In most cases it causes the victim to feel helpless, depressed and angry as most of youse already know from experience but what you guys didn’t know tough is that in the most severe cases it leads to suicidal thoughts and the sad thing is that in the worst cases these thoughts are carried out and its usually by a young teenager. That’s a young person with their whole life ahead of them claiming their life because a few people can’t accept them because they are a little different.
If racism has such negative effects why do people be racists? Well ask yourself why have you ever been racist or why others are racist? ( give them a moment to think) many answers come in to my mind but the three main reasons why people are racists is because as mentioned before they can’t accept people different to them, have experienced events that has harmed them or people important to them caused by a particular race or/and stereotype a race. People can’t accept others different to them because they believe that they should receive different treatment to them because in their opinion because their different their unnormal. The reason why people stereotype or are racist because of past events that have harmed them or their loved ones is because a member of that race has caused them harm they stereotype that whole race as

Racism is a very strong word. To many people, it means many different things. The actual definition is when a person or group of people feels superior to another because of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or simply who they are. So pretty much what makes a person human. Every since the Americans first brought over the slaves from Africa, racism has been a problem. Since the 1930s, after the Civil War, racism still exist in North America, and in the most awful ways possible. From there, racism has changed greatly. It is difficult to say whether or not that change has been good or bad, but just the fact that it has changed should be enough. Think about it; before, humans were using whips and nooses, but now, people use guns and poison.…

Picture a world without racism; what would our economy be like, our history, our society, what if racism never existed? Racism has been used around the world. People were tortured, put into slavery, and even killed because of racism. In the story “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, A character named Atticus fights for his beliefs against racism while everyone else doesn't agree with him. Racism comes in different forms of stereotypes, limitation, and assumptions that affect certain ethnic groups differently than others but all have the same negative effect. This then creates stereotypical power status, giving the illusion of how one racial group is superior compared to others. An example that shows great understanding of the issue is the article, “White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard to Talk to White People About Racism” by Dr. Robin DiAngelo who explains how the topic of racism plays a huge role is social interaction between people of different ethnic groups. The author states, “It became clear over time that white people have extremely low thresholds for enduring any discomfort associated with challenges to our racial worldviews.” (DiAngelo, 36) This displays the power of stereotypes to spread around communities about each ethnic group, resulting in them facing daily obstacles of how to handle racial profiling situations that results in people not being able to protect their racial feelings and human rights, challenge white authority, meritocracy which is addressing the issue of unequal right between racial groups, and white centrality. Overall, racism is just but one of the many factors that contribute to this broken state of…

Racism is something we've all witnessed and in my opinion is one of the most disgusting and pointless hate crimes out there, and there are quite a lot of hate crimes (Anti-Semitism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Religious Hate, and more.) Race was created socially, primarily by how people perceive ideas and faces we are not quite used to. Racism is basically just a label that has been put on “us” and “them” or “me” (generally speaking) and “you”.…

Racism is a global problem that has existed throughout the history of mankind. Despite the different kinds of measures taken against racism including African-American Civil Rights movement, Anti-Apartheid Movement, Hate Crime Laws, or bans on any racism manifestations, it continues to be a constant concern. For some people, it is a vague concept, because it reveals itself in different forms. For others, it is simply based on unreasonable believes and hate. So racism, after all, became a label that is used for humiliation, based on hatred of the individual or even entire ethnic groups. I will try to address the problem of racism from several points of view taking into account the areas in which racism exists and manifest itself; to prove that…

Preponderance of pages in the annals of history has a lot to say about the menace of Racism. In their endless prints, racism is concisely described as the “belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her innate biological characteristic”.( archive.com). The above definition hints that racism is an expression of individual’s state of mind; we are never born racist, rather we chose to be, by believing what we want to believe. Racism is a very sensitive topic. It’s a topic that is even worse to teach about let alone write about, because its intricacies was buried in a web that runs gamut evolution theories to sets of beliefs of some human sects who just…
