Research Paper On Pumpkins
It was the day before Halloween and me and my family were getting ready to go to the pumpkin patch in the town of Griffith by Strack’s &Van Til.
My mom kept saying, ”Hurry up Addison”!
So I finally went down stairs and got my jacket. Then I went out side and got in the car so we could leave to go to Scheeringa Farms & Produce. When we got there we started looking for pumpkins right away. Well I should say we didn’t my little sister did so I had to chase after her.
So we finally started looking for pumpkins. I was walking around and I found the perfect pumpkin for me. The we went home. When we got home my grandma called. She had called and told us that she wanted us to go to her house so she could help us carve our pumpkins. When we
got there we started to carve our pumpkins. We carved my little sister’s pumpkin. Then my older sister’s. Then my brothers, and guess what I was last to carve my pumpkin and I had to do mine by my self. While I was carving it I saw something strange.
The thing that was strange it had greenish covering, and it looked like a type of paper. When I carved it all the way, there was money in it! When I saw the money I hurried up and found a container to put the money in it. When all of the money was in the container I had to hide it right away so no one could see all of it. Once I hid it my mom came in.
She said,” what are you doing” in a weird voice?
I said in my head,” that I need to take the money somewhere safe”.
While my mom was walking out I walked the other way backwards so I could get the money and take it to the bank. I had to walk because I don’t know how to drive yet. I had been walking for a while and it started to get dark and scary. I finally got to the bank before it closed because it closed at 9:00 and it was 8:40. So I went in and put the money in my moms account. When I was finished I asked the man behind the counter if he could take me home.
The man said,“ yes’.
So when the man dropped me off I went in side and my mom was mad at me .
“What is wrong” I said.
Then my mom said,” Where were you”?
“ I was at the park with my friend Robin” I said.
I know I am grounded you don’t have to tell me. You are grounded how did you know. I know because every time I’m out late I am grounded. “Okay you are grounded for the rest of the week,” said my mom. So in the morning we went to the store to get candy for trick or treating tonight. When we were leaving the store my mom just remembered that we had to go to the bank. When I heard the word bank I paused and thought for a minute. Then I told my mom that we can’t go to the bank, she said why.
I said, “Because we have to go to the park now.” My mom said, “No we don’t, and you are acting strange.”
Then finally I told her what was going on.
I said, “When I was carving my pumpkin it had money in it, and I hid it in a container, then I hid the container. You came in after I hid the container. Then last night I walked to the bank with the money to put it in your account. I didn’t want you to know until I told you, so it could be a surprise.”
Then the story going on forever and ever and ever with only my family.
