My Mother, My role model.
If I would have to name a person who has had a significant influence on me I would definitely say, Yaya, my mom´s name, without even giving it a second though, I see her as a role model from every aspect, both in my professional and my private life, but I think her biggest influence on me has been to learn that women are capable of many things and we do not need to depend on anyone, that for love of what we study or what we do for a living and for the love to our families we can go far and succeed in all we do.
Just knowing that my mom gave up a lot for me and that she sacrificed many things to give me a better life inspires me daily, so I try to do everything with more dedication because I want her to feel proud of me and I want to give her the satisfaction of knowing that all her work was worth it and that all she has done for me paid off in the end.
Although she drives me crazy sometimes I always try to remember that she is just trying to make me a better person, to teach me and and she just wants the best for me because everything she does for me she does it with tons of love, we have our ups and downs but I have learned from our relationship that life is not easy and we may cross with people we don’t like but we as strong woman can fight against everything.

She raised me as a single mom and me growing up in that environment, in a house without a father figure taught me that if we work hard and we put our heart into things for someone we love, we can move mountains. I learned from her to be patient, to fight when I need too and to be persistent to accomplish my goals, I learned from her to believe in myself, that everything is possible and everything at the end will turn out the way we wanted.
I value the unconditional support that she gives me all the time; she always encourages me and cheers me to face new challenges. Every time I have to accomplish a new goal I think about her and the way she would do it so

My mother Jeanne has always raised me on a tight leash and taught me to have morals, ethics, self-respect, and class about myself. She raised me and my older brother by herself for a long time, and we never really got to have the “Wonderful” mother/daughter relationship every little girl wants with her mother, but because of our relationship growing up it has made us so much closer now that I am an adult and have my own child. My mother is a big reason why I am the person I am today, I was always told I’m just like her and I wouldn’t have chosen to have it any other way.…

I was raised by both of my parents in America after we legally travelled from Malaysia. While my father worked a full time job, my mother stayed home and looked after me. At a young age, I had a large portion of the day with just my mother. I was never a neglected child. She taught me to always carry a smile and to look at the positives in life instead of fretting about the negatives. When I was bored, she would stop her daily chores and watch television with me. If I complained of starvation, she would immediately cook or take me out for food. When I was sick, she took care of me and stayed up all night in case of any bad changes. If I wanted a new toy, she would nag about how hard it is to earn money but she will always end up buying it for me. I didn’t realize at the time, but in my heart, she was already an irreplaceable mother.…

Sometimes we come across a strong, influential person who leaves a powerful impact in our lives. Luckily for me, I came across such a person from the very beginning of the journey of my life. My mother who taught me to walk my first steps, who danced and sang to me crazily just to see me smile, the one who has always been there for me as my support whenever I needed one, is my role model and has made an unforgettable impact in my life. Her perseverance gives me an inspiration to work hard and get the most out of my life. It gives me a goal to make her proud of her daughter the same way her daughter’s proud of her. Although my mother’s life story has influenced me positively, it isn’t the only way my mother has affected me. She has always been that I can be. Even through the troubled and awkward first year in the United States, she was the person who I looked up to as a role model, she took every obstacle thrown at her with determination and patience.…

I became exceedingly grateful for the relationships I had formed with people that I knew I could rely on. This also empowered me to not be afraid of removing the people in my life that were not there for the right reasons.
