Not wanting that to happen to Juliet, Friar then comes up with a plan to have Juliet drink a potion that night before the wedding that will make her in a death like state and make her to sleep for 42 hours. That way the Capulets would believe she is dead and gone for good; to then put her in the Capulet Vault with all the other corpses of their family tree. Then Friar would send a messenger to Romeo about how Juliet isn’t dead and that he needs to rescue her that night when the potion is about to wear off so they can live together in secret at Mantua. Juliet believes this is a wonderful and somewhat risky plan, but she would do anything to be with her beloved Romeo; she then drinks the concoction and the plan is set in place. Friar Laurence then sends Friar John to send the message to Romeo but he fails to deliver it before Romeo’s servant Balthasar who tells him ( according to what he saw) that “... she is well, and nothing can be ill. Her body sleeps in Capels' monument, and her immortal part with angels lives.”(Shakespeare
