A study done by the world health organization was done in Canada on cracked egg shells and all the disease it could contract from being cracked. The only disease that was hazards to human was salmonella so they used this to continue their analysis .100). While salmonella is hazards to cracked eggs it can also penetrate shells that are still in intact (100). Without the virus of salmonella touching the yoke of the egg the virus would not grow (100). When the egg that were examined in Canada 1.3% and 6.3% of the eggs were cracked (100).
