(Mozes 2014)? School starting too early is an issue in today's society because there are often children and teenagers that are sleep deprived from school starting too early. More than 87% of students in the United States get far less than the recommended 8-10 hours of sleep per night (Richter 2015). In addition, school starting too early is a serious threat to health, behavior, and academic achievements. This paper will examine how school starting too early is unhealthy for children and teenagers and causes sleep deprivation, how it also affects students' everyday lives, and finally, how school starting too early affects behavior and academic achievements. First off, school starting too early is unhealthy for children and teenagers, which leads to sleep deprivation. In addition, it also causes students to be indolent and more unmindful of the things around them. In fact, adolescents who do not get enough sleep are more likely to be overweight.
