Should School Start Later Research Paper
Did you know that school starting times are dangerous for many teenagers' health and grades? Schools should push their starting times back so teens can get a good amount of sleep. Starting school early can have negative affects, such as anxiety. Schools should also push their starting times back because 70% of teens don't get enough sleep each night, and when students get enough sleep, they are more alert in school. Sleep is very important, and it will help all teens in the future.

First off, anxiety is not a good thing to have. Unfortunately, it is something that many teenagers have to deal with. As Justin O'Neal, the author of Should School Start Later, states in the last sentence of the fourth paragraph, "Studies show that tired teens have an increased risk of depression, anxiety, obesity, and illness." This gives a reason why early school start times can be dangerous for teenagers' health. When you have anxiety, you constantly worry about everything. That can be trouble, considering there are a lot of other things in the world to worry about. If you worry excessively, you can make yourself physically ill. Having anxiety is bad, and not getting enough sleep can easily cause it.
