I just didn’t want to know what I thought of myself, but what other really thought and to make some improvements. “Effective meeting leaders plan and prepare a before meeting to be certain that the content is both informative and useful” (Hackman & Johnson, 2013, p.206). I enjoyed reading your post. Communication and teamwork are keys to group efficiency and I believe G4 worked hard on those keys. A selfless leader will demonstrate integrity because this leader puts the needs of the team members before self; and the leader will stand strong through tribulations and challenges. My initial self-personality assessment test suggests that I am very well organized, which is accurate. This proves that the assessment tests designed by our HR team is credible and can be used further for the rest of our members. My personality assessment also indicated my sensitivity to deadlines and my keen eye on details. Both are correct because I always follow instructions and make sure quality of the deliverables are at their best. Since I will be the team leader, I will be responsible for the quality of the deliverables, and this will improve accountability, not just for me, but also for the team members. I also perform extremely well because of my skills as a team leader and my experience, education, and training has taught me the principles of time management, which can be critical in meeting deadlines and setting priorities to objectives. My self-assessment test will highlight both my strengths and weaknesses and will also determine if I have the skills and personality expected from an ideal…

Clearly leadership skills are required and are important because the leader is the one who has the most responsibility, he is the one who gives the tasks out to his fellow team members and should help them if they struggle in a task. Because a fundamental aspect of leadership is getting results through others, follower motivation, satisfaction, and performance are vitally important topics for leaders. Research has shown that the best followers often perform at a level 20-50 percent higher than average followers, and much of this difference in performance is due to motivation. Leaders who have dissatisfied followers or cannot motivate followers will have difficulty building teams and getting results. Therefore, the more leaders know about motivation, satisfaction, and performance, the more likely they will be successful…

The leadership roles I have had the opportunity of serving in developed me into the leader I am today. After Matriculation I was a timid and indecisive leader. I questioned all my decisions and found it difficult to trust others. I looked for opportunities to blend in and not challenge myself as a leader. When I joined ROTC I still had some of the same reservations in my leadership abilities. I quickly became more decisive and confident once I was acclimated to the AFROTC culture and understood what was expected of me at Field Training. Once I graduated Field Training, I regained my confidence and decision making abilities. This, however, morphed into arrogance because I plateaued in developing myself as a leader. I took the time since then…

I believe that I am a partial transformational leader as of right now. I currently utilize only two of the Four I’s, individualized consideration and idealized influence. To improve on the two that I currently feel that I am and to incorporate the two that I am not, intellectual stimulation and inspirational motivation, I will have to use all the principles learned in the Intermediate Leadership Experience. For me, I will mainly focus on full range of leadership development (FRLD), adaptability, the Right to Lead Assessment Model (RLAM), diagnosing, and the Cooperative Negotiation Strategy (CNS) to improve upon my leadership style.…
