it is really cool that the car can sense which object is where and adjust to it.
Every day in the United States, 42 people die from distracted or driver under the influence of alcohol.
That wouldn’t have happened if we had self-driving cars. According to fastcompany.com, people in the U.S. spend a total of 576 million dollars a day on car repairs, crashes etc. That wouldn’t have happened if we had self-driving cars. Daily the U.S. spends about 14 million dollars on speeding tickets per day. Again, this wouldn’t have happened if we had self-driving cars. All of these things would save so many lives, so much money and would be life-changing. All that information surprises me, because we could save around 590 million dollars a day, if we had self-driving cars.
According to the National Automobile Dealers Association, the average American spends around $30,000 on a new car or light truck. The price of a self-driving car? There are a lot of costs that go into the car, including the GPS arrays system etc. The self-driving car is likely to be used by blind/people with disabilities and the rich. Keeping that in mind, the self-driving car comes in with around a whopping $320,000. So in general, once self-driving cars come out, I don’t think most people will be buying it unless they have a disability or they are fairly
rich.
