Just as the pros, there are also cons about the self-driving cars which I kind of fall under because I don't really trust self-driving cars because something bad could happen no matter what.
The cons are that more transportation jobs would be lost if we had self-driving cars. People would lose money and have to find new jobs because you can't make money if the job is out of business such as transportation sector, taxi drivers, and also freight transportation. The self-driving cars also don't necessarily reduce the chance of a car accident. In fact, the computer could malfunction and then people outside and inside the car could get
hurt. So at the end of this article, I had a few questions. One of my questions was if the self-driving car acts up what is the person inside supposed to do? My second question was even though cars have the self-parking, driving, and also sensors to sense objects, something bad could happen, like what if the car takes the person to the wrong place? And then the person doesn't know where they are? Because they weren't watching to where the car was taking them. Even though that you aren't driving you always have to watch just in case if something bad happens. Finally, my last question was where are those people who work for gasoline companies supposed to get new jobs? Where could they get them? Because it would probably be hard to find a new job because they have to help out their family and themselves. So as you can see I am sort of against self-driving cars because I don't think that it is going to make everything in the world better, it may change a little bit but it isn't going to change a lot.
