Should Senior Students Have Off Campus Lunch
Senior students in high school deserve more than what they have now. Senior Students should be able to do more activities such as a Senior Skip Day, Senior Prank Day and Senior chill day. Seniors should also be able to have off lunch campus everyday or two days a week of their choice and or be able to graduate early only if they have their credits to graduate if they want too. Senior students in high school should have a Senior Skip Day. A Senior Skip Day would only be for students. On the skip day seniors should be able to a local park and have a cookout and cake and ice cream. The reason behind the Senior Skip Day is seniors deserve some kind of reward for working hard and making it to their senior year. For about 3 to 4 hours seniors will …show more content…

This could be everyday of the week or any two days of the week of their choice. Having off campus lunch would be a good idea because this the time where they could feel that the school can trust them to have off campus lunch. If something goes wrong or the students get out of hand the principal could cut them off from having the off campus lunch. The students would love to have off campus lunch because I know they probably get tired of the school lunch or getting tired of bringing their lunch. I think this would be a good idea for the schools to consider. When having the off lunch campus, I believe that all senior students are available for this not just the top 10. Having the top 10 just going off campus for lunch is not acceptable because it makes the rest of the students angry because it is not fair for the top ten to go off campus. All students should be eligible to go off campus for lunch. Senior students should also be able to graduate early if they have all their credit needed. I also think that senior students should be able to graduate earlier rather than at the end of May, they should be able to graduate more towards the middle of the May. I believe that all students senior students deserve to graduate early because every other school around them graduate early. Cutting off a few weeks would not hurt them, as long as they can graduate with all their credits and have no

Should Conroe High School remove their rule on not letting kids leave school to get food? Yes, Some students do not eat lunch at all and also because some of the food is disgusting, and being able to leave the school during lunch would be better for the students, we would be able to hang out for a little outside of school instead of being in class for 8 hours.…

I believe that high schools should have open lunches. Students should be able to leave the school grounds and go to a fast food restaurant, or, if they choose should at least be able to go outside and eat. Students need to have a small break from school during the day, even if they are outside, they still can take their minds off of school work for a while. Students need to have fresh air and adequate sunlight. Fresh air and sunlight is a proven fact to help students in their studies and it also helps the students concentrate more. I understand that the school staff would not like the fact that the students would be able to leave campus without supervision. Are not the students in high school? Should we not have the responsibility to be able…

    Closed Campus Lunch

It all started at one of the monthly student government meetings, as the leadership class was reviewing details for a possible upcoming dance, and complaints of the restrooms were being brought up. As things began to wrap up, someone announced the possibility of a closed campus lunch, and murmurs were heard throughout the room. Although the news of closed campus lunch has quickly spread throughout the tech community, surprisingly the first time administrators heard of this was through the students, not the staff. Interviewed staff were not alerted to the situation, including Mr. Price, one of the assistant principals. According to him, he hasn’t, “heard about closed campus from anybody, only from the students. I see the notices I see what…

“So from eating out, we can also learn how to make wise choices.” This would make students prepared for college by enabling them to leave campus and eat what they want. This independence would get kids ready to face the real world. “It provides a semi-sheltered climate to allow students to grow and become responsible.” This would give teens the privilege of not being watched every second of the day. If students disobeyed the rules of when they should be back, they could take away the privilege or give punishment. Throughout high school students don’t have very many opportunities to show how independent they are any letting them leave for lunch would be a perfect way for teens to show teachers they can be trusted and can survive in the real world.I know a lot of high school students who are very shy and keep to themselves. With the ability to leave school during lunch, kids would become more outgoing because there would be many more chances for them to socialize and interact with the real world. “If students have the privilege of off-campus lunch, they will gain more responsibility and more experience on how the real world works.” All kids have a big part in the future of our job…

Early Colleges all around the world are designed to present students with unique opportunities, to better themselves in succeeding in life. Early College’s purpose is for students to graduate high school not only with a high school diploma, but an associate’s degree. However, I do not believe all high schools should follow this academic program, by allowing all high schools to turn into an Early College. Although this program is a great opportunity for many students, all schools should not be ab Early College because there are several students who are not mature enough to deal with stress, they are not motivated to do the challenging work, and the Early College curriculum is too demanding for some of the age group. Maturity is a big step to take when coming from middle school to high school, especially going into an Early College High School.…

In recent years, there has been the debate on whether or not seniors should have to take finals. When most people were freshmen, seniors didn’t have to take finals if they met the requirements. When people were sophomores, seniors didn’t have to take finals if they met the requirements. When people were junior, seniors didn’t have to take finals if they met the requirements. Now those freshmen are now seniors, they have to take finals. Those freshmen, now seniors, had been looking forward to not taking finals at the end of their senior year. Now those hopes are crushed unless the policy is changed. It should be said that high school students should not be required to take finals in their senior year of high school with some requirements that have to be met to be exempted from finals.…

According to Change.org, 9 out of 10 students say they would eat something else besides lunch food if they had a choice. A variety of food choices outside of school will benefit a student's health. Likewise, teens need the option to go out and take a break from their 8 hour school day. According to a student on Change.org, “refreshing our minds before the next few classes would really help us focus more, being in a happier environment.” Students need a break from slaving in a desk all day, doing school work. Leaving school for lunch gives students some fresh air and time to relax their brain. Leaving school to go get lunch would help students with their physical and mental…

Unpaid school lunch bills are becoming a problem for most schools, but it looks like the Upshur County Board of Education has found a solution that could work. Parents with unpaid school lunch bills are being banned from their teen’s graduation ceremonies until the debts are settled. But is it fair for schools to deny parents of the right to see their children graduate over unpaid school lunches?…

Student lunch periods at a typical are crowded and rushed. Many students don’t have time to finish there meal and other students have a hard time finding food they either want to or can eat. And with certain meals, the food can run out before everyone has gotten through the line and receive their food. An easy alternative to this would be to instigate an open campus lunch period. Almost 1 in 3 high schools across the country allow students to leave campus during lunch, according to a report last year from the Pew Charitable Trusts and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.…

At Cape Henlopen High school we should have the opportunity to earn more senior privileges in addition to leaving 5 minutes early at the end of the school day and being able to eat in the courtyard all-year round, except for the winter. Along with the two privileges already in place, I am proposing that seniors be able to leave campus during their lunch period for one semester and get lunch elsewhere. In order to do so, seniors would need to fill out a “Senior Off-Campus Pass” form and have it signed by their parents. However, if seniors abuse this privilege, I understand what I am proposing may be taken away. Along with the class of 2014, there are other classes that are filled with good standing individuals and deserve more senior privileges from the administration when they become seniors.…

There is always that person that is more mature and advanced than their peers at any level. All people have different drives as well as ways of thinking. High school kids are no different; in fact the high school environment is a great location to view these differences between our young men and women. While many students take there high school learning opportunity differently, all students should have to go the recommended four year plan instead of opting out for a quick two year diploma which will leave them unprepared for life.…

Socially speaking, the school would then be a mix of students between the ages of fourteen and nineteen years of age. Social issues will arise between the younger and the older students because of the age difference between the groups. High school performs an important social role in guiding students through their teenage years. At eighteen years of age, a person is already an adult and should be socialized with adults, such as other college students or fellow employees.…
