etc. People claim they have seen one or they have pictures. They all could be fake or staged. What's the difference between a yeti and Sasquatch? A Sasquatch is a person hybrid. They are known to look like large hairy manlike creatures. Sasquatch came about in 1958. The Sasquatch is commonly referred to as bigfoot. Early Native American tribes saw Sasquatch as a spiritual being. They are approximately eight feet tall and weigh about 400-1000 lbs. Their hair is dark brown or reddish color. It is said that they can run up to 30 mph. It is known to be found in warmer climates. It resembles a human or an ape. The Sasquatch is supposedly most commonly sighted mostly in . Yetis, however, are entirely different. They are known as the “abominable snowman”. This term came from an expedition who encountered large footprints. They are more like an arctic Sasquatch. It resembles a bear more than an ape. People have been searching for Yetis since 326 BC. They are nocturnal. They are known to be about 6-10 feet tall. They are known to roam the Himalayan mountains. They are often called the guardian of the Himalayan mountains. It has been reported that the first reliable account of the Yeti was in 1925 when Greek photographer who was on a geological exhibition in the Himalayas was shown a creature moving in the distance. The photograph Tombazi, said the figure was exactly like a human being walking upright and stopping to pull rhododendron bushes to eat. It disappeared before he could take picture, but he found footprints in the snow. The footprints appeared to be similar to though of a man. Then he lost the trail of footprints. As the years went by the photographer hear more stories and began to wonder if he to had seen a yeti. Desmond Doig was on an expedition in 1960 for the Word Book Encyclopedia. He attempted to find evidence of the yeti. He found non because of the skins and scalp turned out to be from bears and a goat. After 30 years in the Himalayas though Doig believes the yeti is actually 3 animals, the Tibetan blue bear, the gibbon, and the abominable snowman of legend more like an ape. Who believes in them and who doesn't and why?
I think that people who believe in mythical creatures like unicorns, dragons, lmps, hippogriffs, manticorns, gnomes, mermaids, griffins, fairies, etc. believe in Sasquatch or yeti. There is some evidence the existence of these creatures is possible, but it is not scientifically proven they exist and this evidence could be anything other than what people say they are. This is some of the evidence people claim they have on the existence of the yeti and Sasquatch. Some claim to have found DNA samples of the Sasquatch and Yeti. Sharon Hill said “A team of scientists can verify that their 5-year long DNA study, currently under peer-review, confirms the existence of a novel hominin hybrid species, commonly called “Bigfoot” or “Sasquatch” living in North America. Researchers’ extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago as a hybrid cross of modern Homo sapiens with an unknown primate species.” (The Committee for Skeptical Inquiry …show more content…

The Ketchum story began when her lab was picked to examine what they thought was Bigfoot or Yeti hair from Bhutan.
Over time Ketchum received many more DNA samples. Most hair samples tested turn out to be other animals like cows, dogs, horses, and bears. I don't believe they have proven these DNA samples are Sasquatch or yeti hair samples, but it could be possible. A geneticist from Oxford University well-known for his research on human evolution ,Bryan Sykes, comment on an international research study. He said, “An international research team has published an analysis of dozens of hair samples from mystery animals around the world. None reveal existence of Yeti or Bigfoot.” (Science news.org) Footprints have been claimed to have been found and thought to be from the Yeti or Sasquatch. Jeffrey Meldrum, Department of Biological Sciences, said “Hundreds of large humanoid footprints have been discovered and many have been photographed or preserved as plaster casts.” In his article there are many pictures of large footprints that could be the yeti or Sasquatch. It states that “The footprints measured approximately 35 cm (13.75 in) long and 13 cm (5.25 in) wide.” Whenever people find footprints they take a cast molding of them and try to sell them. These footprints are probably not
human. People may claim they ‘saw’ a yeti or have a photograph of it, but these pictures could be staged or another animal. There are some pictures around the interweb, but you can't believe everything you see on there. There is not much to say about them. These pictures always could be something other than what they seem to be. Why do people believe they do not exist? Many people do not believe in these creatures because they are not scientifically proven to be real. Although there is some evidence there is not enough. The footprints and DNA samples could be any other animal out there. The pictures could be staged or could also be another animal. You never really see any pictures of the helpless infant Sasquatch either. It is always the bigger ones. I would think that if Sasquatch was real people would be able to find the children. Only because they might be as defenseless unlike the bigger Sasquatches. There has never been one in captivity, so it would just make sense that they do not exist.
. These creatures are known as a legend due to the lack of evidence. This could be a use for tourism. Something like the lockness monster. People could also use stories of them to make themselves famous. These creatures most likely do not exist .
