Outside school activities I am involved in are two years of Godparents, six months of working at a restaurant, and three years of reffing soccer games in my hometown. The biggest hardship I have faved that aI will never forget, is when I first started going to school. I am the oldest of my family and my parents only talk in spanish. That was my first language when I first went to school. It was very hard for me to understand what people were saying because I knew nothing in english. I had to figure out by myself what my teacher were saying. I practiced English only at school never at home. It took me a while to learn english because I was not really good at a this huge transition in my life. I always had to take an extra english class or speech class. Which caused me to miss other classes with the rest of my classmates. Now I know english and will say it is my first language. This hardship was tough for me but with willingness I was pushed myself to overcome it.
