Statement Of Purpose For Mechanical Engineering: Robotics
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE | Adish Krishna A
As a student, I was galvanized by the constantly evolving technological trends and subsequent life changing ideas coming into practice. For an ardent follower of the founder of Tesla Motors Elon Musk, I recognized that pioneering ideas are centered among the intellectual blend of electronics and machines. This revolutionary concept had a greater influence on my career path and with my innate predilection toward machines and automobiles, it further waxed me the idea to choose Mechanical Engineering-Robotics as my specialization.
The unrelenting fascination for automobiles took roots ever since the day I got to visit an International automobile exposition. This instantly had me hooked to the design and

I performed analysis on the rendered optimized wheel which was found to have lower deformation rate and stress values. Additionally, I presented this project in SSRG International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and was approved for publication. I also had the privilege of presenting my final semester academic project in International Journal of Science, Innovative Engineering and Technology and was approved for publication as well.
I have been continually fascinated by the research prospective available in the field of mechatronics engineering, especially because of the usage of electronics to redefine standard efficiency parameters set for automobiles. My research interest revolves around the smart use of electronics that will improve the safety of autonomous vehicles and also progress in the field of hybrid

Through this experience, I would like to establish myself with the necessary skill set to engage in rigorous research activities as well as industrial work. In consideration of this, I chose to pursue Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from ABC University, primarily because the school’s forte lie in Mechatronics and Robotics available at the highest standards, which closely commensurate my research interests and, hence would help me in achieving my career goals. The school provides state of the art technology, facilities, professors, and resources that I feel are powerful tools for my graduate education, and development in the mechanical field. I intend to develop and work symbiotically with the school to explore the potentials of technology in mechanical and

Mechanical engineering is the application of engineering, physics and material for design analysis and fabrication, and manufacturing of materials devices. In the field of mechanical engineering, it is important to understand the mechanics, kinematics and thermodynamics. Mechanical engineering is divided into subfields; mechanics: production of suspension, linkages and mechanisms; mechatronics: building robots, drones and automation systems; structure: analyzes failures in tests; thermodynamics: manufacturing HVAC and networking consumer products; Design: designing consumer products. Then Mr. Kele explained about his experience working as a mechanical engineer in the medical industry. He graduated in 2009, the year of recession and the housing market had crashed. It was hard to find jobs and internships. He got the opportunity to work in his wife’s friend company. He had worked on manufacturing of endoscopes and other medical devices. He works mainly as an R&D which is the research and development aspect of the projects.…

Mechanical Engineering is the application of the principles of science and mathematics to a design of machinery and equipment used in transportation, manufacturing and energy conversion. The following annotated bibliography contains three sources related to the Mechanical Engineering major. The three sources will include a scholarly journal, a book, and a lab report, with different topics, but all relating to my academic discourse community. The scholarly journal is about a mechanical hand and it covers the basics on how it works without getting too overwhelming. The second source will be a textbook for a general chemistry class, where students are able to learn how to be literate with science. And for third and final source will be a lab report…

The robotic engineering field is an ever expanding field with newer innovations coming forth every year. Robots in the home have already begun with robot-like machines like the robotic vacuum and automated coffee machines. Now the everyday folks, non-specialists outside the field of robotics, need a spokesman in the field to break it all down in laymen terms and illustrate some concepts and ideas of robots in the future and what one’s home may include in the future. Donald A. Norman does just that in “Emotional Robots”, an excerpt from his 2004 book Emotional Design: Why we love (or hate) everyday things. His concepts and ideas for the future of robots are designed to enlighten the non-specialist by using simple language, specific evidence and personal claims.…

Sometimes, it is rocket science. As I looked through the externship opportunities for this January, one stood out: Greenbelt, Maryland, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, working with the systems engineering team for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Among all the externships, this was the only one that matched my interests: aerospace, astronomy, and precision mechanical engineering. I’ve been following the progress of the JWST for years - I remember my dad handing me an issue of Popular Science and in it were the early plans to replace the Hubble. Since then, the JWST became one of NASA’s programs, along with the Space Race, Shuttle, and ISS, that inspired me to pursue mechanical and aerospace engineering.…

As gas prices continue to rise, people have started to trend toward more energy efficient means of transportation. Hybrid vehicles have an electric motor along with rechargeable batteries and have an increased efficiency of up to 50 percent. There is an onboard computer that switches between gas and electric power. The hybrid car runs on the energy of the battery when it is cruising, using less energy. When it needs additional power, the fuel engine is used for energy purposes.…

My passion for car culture and motorsport developed from the environment I grew up in and the personal connections and enjoyment I have gained through the community. I consider motorsport to be one of the most passion driven sports in existence because the adrenaline rush and constant enjoyment from the culture outweighs any other experience I have had with sport besides playing lacrosse. My love for motorsport and car culture bloomed from growing up in Indianapolis, which is considered to be the racing capital of the world. I recall going to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway every year and every weekend in the Spring to watch my favorite racers qualify for the Indy 500, Brickyard 400, and the Motor GP. Growing up in a car enthusiast environment has allowed me to grow a deep passion for the sport and the community/culture.…

My dream of my life ten years from now has changed many times over these past few weeks. This class has shown me new opportunities and broadened my horizon. Throughout grade and middle school, I pictured myself joining the United States Marin Corp. out of high school and being a hero. As I matured, I looked at my god given talents and decided to go a different way with my life. Then I determined I wanted to go into the field of computers; still not sure, whether to work with software or hardware I stuck with this idea and plan until just recently. The guest speaker for UTI, Universal Technical Institute, sparked my interest in a passion that has been dwelling in me ever since I could remember. I always been interested in automobile mechanics…

My tendency toward Physics and Mathematics inspired me to look for a career as an engineer when I was at high school. Through many discussions with my uncle, a mechanical engineer, about vast applications and features of mechanical engineering I got that mechanical engineering would be the best major for me. So I selected it as my first choice in the universities entrance exam and achieved to enroll in this program at Sharif University of Technology with a high rank of 97 among approximately 300,000 competitors.…
