There is a difference of those who have arachnophobia …show more content…
Some think that the fear depends on the different background like how in Africa they were scared of spiders while in South America they ate spiders and weren’t afraid of them. So it might be a cultural difference that decides whether we are afraid or not. Also people believe people believe that it might be due to an event earlier in life. But, this event would have to be terrifying in order to leave such a emotional scar. Also people with arachnophobia can be scared of scorpions too. It might just be the strange similarities but, in my opinion, they are much more frightening. People have no reason to be scared of spiders, but they do have a reason to be scared of scorpions. I think that because they stink poisonous venom into your flesh and they have claws like crabs. Also they have many have many frightening features like their multiple eyes/legs, red shells, mandibles, and whip-like tails. Spiders also share those physical features like how they have multiple eyes/legs, black shells, mandibles, and abdomen. These features would frighten most people by themselves whether they are scared of anything or not. Imagine how someone who has arachnophobia staring into the eyes of a spider/scorpion, they would most likely faint at the sight of this. They would definitely freak out stepping on a spider or walking into a spider web. Some therapist processes are a bit different from other therapist’s. Like how some don’t even use the relaxing technique and do other activities instead. Those therapist tell the their patients to use a paintbrush to touch a spider or tarantula. Then they move on to touch them with a gloved hand. Finally they touch the spider or tarantula with their bare hand. In conclusion people do not need to be scared of spiders and if they are they can see a therapist to help them get over
